Breathable and waterproof membrane and breathable and waterproof fabric
A breathable and waterproof membrane and a method for manufacturing the same, and a breathable and waterproof fabric are provided. The breathable and waterproof membrane is formed by stretching a polyolefin material. The breathable and waterproof membrane has a density ranging from 0.6 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.8 g/cm.sup.3. A plurality of micropores are formed on the breathable and waterproof membrane, and the plurality of micropores each has a size smaller than 500 nm. The polyolefin material includes: 60 wt % to 80 wt % of a first polypropylene resin, 15 wt % to 30 wt % of a second polypropylene resin, and 1 wt % to 10 wt % of inorganic particles. The second polypropylene resin is a modified polypropylene resin having a hydrophilic group. The second polypropylene resin is different from the first polypropylene resin.
REDDENING-RESISTANT LAYER
The present disclosure relates to an optical laminate or a reddening-resistant layer. The present disclosure can provide an optical laminate that does not cause a so-called reddening phenomenon even when driven or maintained under extremely harsh conditions (e.g., very high temperature conditions), or a reddening-resistant layer applied thereto.

PACKAGING LAMINATE
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods related to a packaging laminate comprising: a first polymeric layer comprising a polypropylene copolymer; and a second polymeric layer comprising a high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin with a coextruded ethyl vinyl alcohol (EVOH) compatibilizer.
Breathable Barrier Laminate
A barrier laminate suitable for use in the construction of chemically protective garments is provided. The barrier laminate includes a nonwoven layer bonded to a breathable microporous film layer. Methods of forming a barrier laminate are also provided.
Sound attenuating laminate materials
Sound absorbing or attenuating laminate flooring materials are provided, which are directed to be used in the production of floor covering, floor panels, furniture panels, cabinets, counter-tops and wall panels. As well, the methods for producing such products are provided. In particular, abrasion resistant panels, with a laminated structure, created by forming an assembly which consists of laminating a heat-activated resin impregnated paper wear layer, a decorative layer with printed graphics or a wood veneer decorative layer, a medium density (MDF) or high-density (HDF) natural fiber-based core and a resin impregnated paper balancing layer. To achieve sound absorbing and/or attenuating properties, any or all paper layers may be pre coated with an additional flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly of the panel, or the natural fiber core panel may be coated with a flexible elastomeric coating, film or material prior to assembly with the papers. The flexible elastomeric coating, film or material acts to absorb, reduce, and/or ameliorate the sound transmissions inherent in laminated panels.
Air and water barrier articles
There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.
Thermoplastic bags with complex stretch patterns
A thermoplastic film which exhibits elastic-like behavior along at least one axis when stretched or elongated and then released. The thermoplastic film comprises a plurality of raised rib-like elements extending in a direction perpendicular to a main surface of the thermoplastic film. The thermoplastic film further includes a plurality of web areas positioned about the plurality of raised rib-like elements. The plurality of raised rib-like elements and plurality of web areas are arranged in a complex pattern. The complex pattern provides visual and tactile cues as the films are stretched or elongated. The complex pattern can cause the thermoplastic film to have a complex stretch profile.
MULTI-FILM THERMOPLASTIC STRUCTURES HAVING VISUALLY-DISTINCT CONTACT AREAS ARRANGED IN TEXT AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
One or more implementations of a multi-film thermoplastic structure include a first film having a first appearance in contact with a second film having a second appearance at one or more visually-distinct contact areas arranged into a text. Wherein the one or more visually-distinct contact areas, cause the first film to take on the second appearance of the second film. In one or more implementations the multi-film thermoplastic structure comprises a thermoplastic bag and text comprises a suffocation warning.
Multilayered polyolefin films
The invention relates to a polyolefin film comprising at least five layers: a core layer (a), comprising a polyolefin; an outer supporting layer (b), comprising copolymers of ethylene and propylene; an inner supporting layer (c), on the face of the core layer opposite to the outer supporting layer, comprising a polyolefin; a first coating layer (d) immediately in contact with the inner supporting layer (c), and finally a second coating layer (e) immediately in contact with the inner supporting layer (c), both comprising copolymers of ethylene with one or several polar monomers. In addition, the present invention relates to the process of manufacturing said polyolefin film and also the uses thereof for coating a substrate.
