METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CLAD MATERIAL
A clad material includes a first layer made of stainless steel and a second layer made of Cu or a Cu alloy and roll-bonded to the first layer. In the clad material, a grain size of the second layer measured by a comparison method of JIS H 0501 is 0.150 mm or less.
Thermally insulated personal article and sleeping bag liners
An article having an inner article layer and an outer article layer to be worn by a mammal comprising a thermally insulating layer of a reflective metalized polymeric insulation material having moisture vapour transference properties adjacent to at least one of the inner and outer article layers. An apparatus and method for producing a reflective metalized polymeric thermally insulating assembly having moisture vapour transference properties suitable for use in the article is also provided. The insulation material provides enhanced thermal retention.
Method of manufacturing a laminated soft good
A layered stack is created by placing webs of adhesive on opposite sides of web of cushioning layer and placing outer webs outside the webs of adhesive. An outer surface of a rotating drum is heated by heating oil inside the drum. An endless belt is heated by at least one heater. The layered stack is pulled between the heated endless belt and the heated rotating drum via a motorized drive assembly which rotates the endless belt. Both sides of the layered stack are heated enough to melt each web of adhesive when the layered stack passes between the heated moving endless belt and the heated rotating drum.

Composite nonwoven felt for high draw mold areas
A nonwoven composite felt that is a dissipative acoustic insulation material that may be molded inside molds featuring high draw mold areas into acoustically insulating pads or sheets that provide good sound dampening characteristics and have no tears of thinning in the high draw areas.
LAMINATION DEVICE
Provided is a lamination device that laminates an electrolyte film and a porous film. The lamination device includes a support portion configured to support a porous film roll, in which the porous film is wound, such that the porous film roll is able to revolve, an unwinding portion configured to support an electrolyte film roll, in which the electrolyte film is wound, and unwind the electrolyte film from the electrolyte film roll, a conveying portion configured to convey the unwound electrolyte film, and a control portion configured to control the support portion, the unwinding portion, and the conveying portion. The control portion is configured to control the support portion such that the conveyed electrolyte film and the porous film roll are brought closer to one another and an outer peripheral surface of the porous film roll is pressed against one of surfaces of the electrolyte film.
Apparatus and method for a shape memory alloy mandrel
In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a mandrel is disclosed. The mandrel having a shape memory alloy (SMA) shell having a longitudinal axis, an interior extending along the longitudinal axis and an exterior contour, the SMA shell being configured to interface with a structure to be cured, and at least one SMA actuation member disposed within the interior and connected to the SMA shell, where the at least one SMA actuation member is configured to exert pressure against the SMA shell effecting an interface pressure between the exterior contour of the SMA shell and the structure to be cured where the exterior contour has a predetermined actuated shape that corresponds to a predetermined cured shape of the structure to be cured.
FEED DEVICE FOR REINFORCING FIBER MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR CUTTING REINFORCING FIBER MATERIAL BY USING THE FEED DEVICE
A cutting mechanism includes a cutter roll and a rotational driving mechanism for rotationally driving the cutter roll. The cutter roll has a roll body and a blade portion protruding from a peripheral surface of the roll body. The blade portion is formed at a same position on a circumference of the roll body and extends in an axial direction of the roll body. The cutter roll is arranged so that the axial direction is at a predetermined angle with respect to a pull-out direction of the reinforcing fiber material. The cutting mechanism further includes a slide mechanism that displaces cutter roll in the axial direction toward a side in the pull-out direction of the reinforcing fiber material at least when the reinforcing fiber material is cut.
Composite structure manufacturing method and composite structure manufacturing device
A composite structure manufacturing method comprising: a lamination step in which a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin sheets are laminated to form a plate-shaped laminate; a pressing deformation step in which a third roller or similar, which rolls along a plate surface of the laminate, is used to press the plate surface of the laminate, thereby forming a recessed section or a protruding section in a prescribed section of the laminate; a short direction deformation step in which, after the pressing deformation step, the laminate is deformed in the short direction to make the long direction cross-section into a prescribed shape; and a long direction deformation step in which, after the pressing deformation step, the laminate is deformed in the long direction to make the short direction cross-section into a prescribed shape.
