A method for forming a solar panel can include attaching one or more tacking pads to one or both of a first surface of a first solar panel subassembly and a second surface of a second solar panel subassembly. The method further includes dispensing an adhesive onto at least one of the first and second surfaces. The first and second surfaces are placed in contact with the one or more tacking pads, thereby tacking the first and second solar panel subassemblies together, during which the first and second surfaces contact the adhesive, thereby decreasing a thickness and increasing a surface area of the adhesive. Subsequently, the adhesive is cured. The tacking pad(s) maintain fixed alignment of the solar panel subassemblies during curing of the adhesive, and establish a bond line of the adhesive.

The clincher has, on a surface thereof, a first groove that extends in an acute angle direction with respect to an axial direction of a rotation shaft of the clincher arm and has a first groove length and a first groove width, and a second groove that extends in an acute angle direction with respect to the axial direction of the rotation shaft of the clincher arm and has a second groove length and a second groove width. The second groove is disposed offset with respect to the first groove in a width direction of the first groove.

SHAPING AN OPHTHALMIC LENS

Apparatus and methods are described including an additional lens (24) made from an amorphous viscoelastic material and having an optical design. A curvature of the additional lens (24) is changed such as to conform with a curvature of abase eyeglasses lens (22), without causing a loss of the optical design of the additional lens (24), by heating the additional lens (24) to a temperature at which a Tan Delta of the amorphous viscoelastic material is between 0.2 and 0.8, and shaping the additional lens (24). Subsequently, the additional lens (24) is adhered to the base eyeglasses lens (22). The optical design of the additional lens (24) is such that, upon being adhered to the base eyeglasses lens (22), the adhered base eyeglasses lens (22) and the additional lens (24) provide a combined lens (20) having a desired optical prescription. Other applications are also described.

The present disclosure provides a flexible display device. The flexible display device has different base materials for the back supporting film at the bonding region and the non-bonding region, so that it can satisfy the requirements for AOI and bending resistance respectively. The present disclosure also provides a back film for a flexible display device and a preparation method thereof.

CURVED DISPLAY DEVICE MANUFACTURING METHOD
20220317505 · 2022-10-06 · ·

The present invention provides a curved display device manufacturing method comprising the steps of: coupling a flat display, a transparent adhesive layer, and flat cover glass, thereby manufacturing a flat display assembly; applying an adhesive to the edge of the flat display assembly; seating the flat display assembly on a curved jig; adsorbing the flat display assembly onto the surface of the curved jig by using vacuum holes formed in the curved jig such that the flat display assembly is bent; and coupling a backlight unit to the adhesive-applied area. The step of coupling a backlight unit to the adhesive-applied area comprises a step of curing the adhesive in a state in which the backlight unit is forced against the display assembly such that the display assembly remains bent.

JOINED BODY PRODUCTION METHOD AND JOINED BODY PRODUCTION DEVICE
20220314594 · 2022-10-06 ·

Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a bonded body that includes a glass member, a bonding subject member, and a bonding portion bonded to the glass member and the bonding subject member. The method includes a setting step, a pressing step, and a bonding portion formation step. The setting step is a step of setting a jig main body lid on a jig main body in a state in which a stack is disposed in a recess of the jig main body. The pressing step is a step of adjusting an atmospheric pressure in the recess of the jig main body after the setting step to press the stack with the jig main body lid. The bonding portion formation step is a step of forming the bonding portion from a bonding material included in the stack in a state in which the stack is pressed in the pressing step.
