Aspects herein are directed to a recyclable, asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile suitable for use in apparel and other articles and methods of making the same. In example aspects, the asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile includes a first face formed, at least in part from a first entangled web of fibers and an opposite second face formed, at least in part from a second entangled web of fibers. When incorporated into an article of apparel, the first face forms an outer-facing surface of the article of apparel, and the second face forms an inner-facing surface of the article of apparel. The first face includes features making it suitable to form the outer-facing surface such as resistance to abrasion, and the second face includes features making it suitable to form an inner-facing surface such as a soft hand.

A composite comprising a non-fibrous organic polymer aerogel layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface and a support layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface is disclosed. An interface can be formed between a portion of the first surface of the aerogel layer and a portion of the second surface of the support layer such that the aerogel and support layers are attached to one another. A majority of the volume of the aerogel layer does not have to include the support layer. The composite can have a thickness of 3 mils to 16 mils.

The present disclosure discloses an embossed patterned elastic laminate. The elastic laminate has an embossed pattern of at least three surface areas. The current disclosure also includes a process for making an embossed patterned elastic laminate. The embossed patterned elastic laminate provides a permanent change to visual aesthetic without adversely impacting the elastic film.

The first layer (110) is adapted to transfer liquid from a first side (100A) of the textile assembly (100) to the intermediate layer (130). The intermediate layer (130) is adapted to receive and transfer liquid to the second layer (120). The second layer (120) is adapted to retain the liquid at or proximal to a second side (100B) of the textile assembly that is oppositely facing to the first side (100A).

PATTERNING OF A STRANDED ELASTIC LAMINATE

The present disclosure provides for an apparatus for using a patterned stranded elastic laminate. The stranded elastic laminate is patterned by an anvil roll. The current disclosure also includes a process for making a patterned elastic laminate The patterned elastic laminate provides an aesthetic effect and is visible at least in both the stretched and unstretched states.
