Melamine wipes and methods of manufacture
Methods for manufacturing wipes including melamine entangled into a nonwoven, and associated articles of manufacture. Such a method may include providing a melamine sheet (e.g., contiguous, rather than discrete melamine particles), providing first and second nonwoven sheets, and positioning the melamine sheet between the first and second nonwoven sheets. The sandwich structure is hydro-entangled at high pressure to force the melamine material to become entangled into the nonwoven material, to a degree that a portion of the melamine is actually exposed on the exterior face(s) of the wipe, which are generally provided by the nonwoven sheets. Such a wipe exhibits the drapability of a wipe, with the scrubbing benefits (e.g., very effective cleaning of baseboards, crayon off walls, etc.) of melamine, with greater durability than existing melamine cleaning articles, which tend to quickly crumble during use.
Sound-Absorbing Article With Perforations In Backing, Surface Coverings Comprising Same, And Systems And Methods Of Making And Using Same
A sound-absorbing article (e.g., a tufted sound-absorbing article) can comprise a backing having a thickness and a plurality of face fibers associated with the backing. Optionally, the face fibers can comprise a plurality of tufts extending through the backing. The backing can define a plurality of perforations that fully extend through the thickness of the backing and are provided in a pattern to determine an acoustic property of the sound-absorbing article. Within at least a portion of the backing, sequential perforations within the pattern of the plurality of perforations can be spaced center-to-center by between 5 mm and 100 mm.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AND DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE
Provided is a composite structure capable of bonding a fabric and a synthetic resin material with good workability without affecting the texture of the fabric and having sufficient load-withstanding performance at a very high temperature.
The composite structure comprising a synthetic resin material, a fabric, and a double-sided adhesive tape that is disposed between the synthetic resin material and the fabric and bonds them together, the composite structure having a shear strength at 140° C. 15 mN/mm.sup.2 or more.
Porous sheet, and porous composite
An object of the present invention is to provide a porous sheet capable of satisfy both the properties of fitting, preventing tightening, and providing comfort immediately after wearing or at a standstill/at rest and the properties of tightening, fixation stability, and providing comfort during exercise such as sports at the same time, as well as a porous composite comprising the porous sheet, or particularly, a porous sheet and a porous composite for clothing, health products, medical supplies, and sporting goods. The present invention relates to a porous sheet made of a thermoplastic elastomer composition (A), having a plurality of slits and/or pores, and having a porosity of 5 to 50%, an anisotropy of 10% or more, and a stretching stress relaxation rate of 40% or less after being stretched by 500% and held for 60 seconds.
LAMINATED SOUND ABSORBING MATERIAL
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sound absorbing material which exhibits excellent sound absorbing performance in low-frequency and intermediate-frequency ranges, and preferably also in higher-frequency ranges. This laminated sound absorbing material includes at least: a fiber layer; and a porous layer, wherein the fiber layer has a mean flow pore size of 1.0-60 μm and an air permeability as measured with a Frazier method of 30-220 cc/cm.sup.2.Math.s, and the porous layer comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of foamed resins, unwoven fabrics, and woven fabrics, has a thickness of 3-40 mm and a density of 3-50 kg/m3 which is lower than that of the fiber layer, and is disposed such that the fiber layer is on a sound incidence side.
CONTACTING MEMBER, DRYING DEVICE, AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A contacting member contacts a region of a contacted member to which a liquid composition has been applied. The contacting member has a substrate and a fluororesin fiber layer containing a fluororesin fiber. One side of the fluororesin fiber layer is directly or indirectly fixed to the substrate and another side of the fluororesin fiber layer contacts the contacted member. A ratio X/Y is less than 1.00, wherein X is a presence ratio of the fluororesin fiber in the fluororesin fiber layer on the side which is directly or indirectly fixed to the substrate and Y is a presence ratio of the fluororesin fiber in the fluororesin fiber layer on the other side which contacts the contacted member.
DECORATIVE SHEET FOR RECOATING AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR DECORATIVE SHEET FOR RECOATING
The present invention provides a decorative sheet for recoating, in which the recoating layer is laminated with a sufficient adhesive strength, and the recoating layer has satisfactory ink receptivity for retaining a colorant. The decorative sheet for recoating includes: a base material; a recoating layer that is provided on at least one surface side of the base material, contains thermoplastic resin fibers as fibers of a constituent component, and has spaces among the fibers; and an adhesion layer between the base material and the recoating layer, which has been formed by melt deposition or flow deposition of at least a part of the thermoplastic resin fibers.
Light-permeable multi-layer composite film
Light-permeable multilayer composite film made of plastic as the surface coating of an article, wherein the composite film comprises at least one outer, at least partially light-permeable top layer optionally provided with a lacquer and at least one further layer arranged on the back of the top layer, wherein arranged on the back side of the top layer is at least one sheetlike, optically active textile layer, preferably a textile layer comprising threads made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and/or made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), wherein the textile layer has light-transmitting, light-refracting and light-reflecting properties or a combination thereof and the transmission, refraction and reflection properties are such that illumination of the textile layer, in particular back side illumination of the textile layer, results in preferably uniformized light transmission through the top layer.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING MULTI-LAYER SUBSTRATES COMPRISING SANDWICH LAYERS AND POLYETHYLENE
Methods for forming multi-layer substrates including top and bottom surface layers and a melt softened thermoplastic material layer between the exterior surface layers, where the thermoplastic material includes polyethylene or has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 within the temperature range of 100° F.-350° F. The 3 (or more) layers are assembled, and heated, melt softening the thermoplastic material, causing bonding of the thermoplastic layer to the exterior surface layers. A cleaning composition may be loaded onto the multi-layer substrate, where a fluid pathway through the melted thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel between the surface layers. Adhesion between the surface layers and the thermoplastic layer is provided by the thermoplastic material itself, which bonds to groups of fibers in the surface layers. The process does not require chemical adhesives, any processing water, drying, or the like, so as to be possible with low capital investment.
