A fibrous material or composite including a plurality of layers joined to one another, for example, by needlepunching, is disclosed. The fibrous composite generally has an asymmetrical stretch profile, such that the fibrous composite is more extensible in the cross-machine direction than in the machine direction. The fibrous composite may find particular use in forming a cure-in-place pipe liner.

The second portion of the primary backing component is unattached to the first exposable portion of the secondary backing material, and the first exposable portion defines a portion of the first end edge of the floor covering. The second portion of the primary backing component is selectively moveable relative to the first portion to a position in which at least a portion of the second portion of the primary backing component does not overlie the first exposable portion of the secondary backing material.

The film strips or film coatings may be made of homogeneous polyester terephthalate (PET) that satisfies the resin recycling identification code number one.

The second layer is a layer including at least one kind selected from a foamed resin, a nonwoven fabric and a woven fabric, has a thickness of 3 to 40 mm, and has a density that is lower than the first layer and is 51 to 150 kg/m.sup.3. The first layer is disposed on a sound incidence side of the second layer.
