A prepreg is provided. The prepreg is prepared by impregnating a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric with a thermal-curable resin composition or by coating a thermal-curable resin composition onto a liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric and drying the impregnated or coated liquid crystal polymer non-woven fabric, wherein the thermal-curable resin composition includes: (A) an unsaturated monomer; and (B) a cyclic olefin copolymer including the following repeating units: (B-1) a repeating unit of formula (I), ##STR00001## (B-2) a repeating unit of formula (II), ##STR00002##
and (B-3) a repeating unit of formula (III), ##STR00003## R.sup.1 to R.sup.22, m, n, o, and p in formulas (I) to (III) are as defined in the specification, wherein based on the total moles of the repeating units (B-1) to (B-3), the content of the repeating unit (B-2) is 19 mol % to 36 mol %, and wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic olefin copolymer (B) to the unsaturated monomer (A) is 0.5 to 7.
LONG FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING LONG FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING LONG MULTILAYER BODY, AND LONG MULTILAYER BODY
As an exemplary configuration, a long film is configured by thermomeltable polymers including a first unit based on tetrafluoroethylene and a second unit based on perfluoro (alkyl vinyl ether), including spherulites of the thermomeltable polymers, wherein radius of each spherulite is 10 μm or less. As another exemplary configuration, a long film is configured by tetrafluoroethylene polymers having a melt flow rate within a range of 5 to 40 g/10 min. The long film is heated at 180° C. for 30 minutes so as to measure the thermal expansion rate, and when letting thermal expansion rate in a first direction, which extends at a 45-degree angle to a melt flow direction be A, and thermal expansion rate in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction be B, A and B are respectively within the range of −2 to +1%, and |A−B| is 1% or less.
HIGH-RESISTANCE WATERPROOFING COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTS MADE USING SAME
The invention relates to a waterproofing composition with high resistance to different weather conditions and improved insulating and anti-impact properties and which is easy to apply and more durable, and to materials based on same. The composition comprises acrylic resins, water, polymeric particulates and additives.
Decorative Panel, and Decorative Floor Covering Consisting of Said Panels
In the field of decorative floor coverings, decorative panels are known having a MDF (Medium Density Board) or HDF (High Density Board) based core layer on top of which a decorative substrate is attached to provide the panels a desired appearance. The invention relates to a panel, in particular a decorative panel, a floor panel, a ceiling panel or a wall panel. The invention also relates to a floor covering consisting of a plurality of mutually coupled panels.
Polyimide laminated film and method of preparing polyimide laminated film
A polyimide laminated film includes a porous polyimide layer that has a porosity of from 30% to 90% and pores having a spherical shape and a non-porous polyimide layer that has a porosity of 5% or less.
Skin-foam-substrate structure via induction heating
A method of forming a skin-foam-substrate type structure particular suitable as an automobile trim component. The method comprises supplying a polymer resin containing a chemical foaming agent and including metal particles capable of inductive heating, that is positioned between a polymeric skin and substrate, followed by inductive heating to cause foaming of the polymeric resin. The foamed polymer resin adheres to the skin and substrate.
LAMINATES COMPRISING REINFORCED AEROGEL COMPOSITES
The present disclosure can provide an aerogel composite. The aerogel composite comprises at least one base layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, the base layer comprising a reinforced aerogel composition which comprises a reinforcement material and a monolithic aerogel framework, a first facing layer comprising a first facing material attached to the top surface of the base layer, and a second facing layer comprising a second facing material attached to the bottom surface of the base layer. At least a portion of the monolithic aerogel framework of the base layer extends into at least a portion of both the first facing layer and the second facing layer. The first facing material and the second facing material can each comprise or consist essentially of a non-fluoropolymeric material.
ANTISLIP FLEXIBLE MATERIALS AND METHODS FOR THEIR MAKING AND USE
A method for forming an antislip material. A flexible thermoplastic carrier is provided. A hot release surface is provided. Provided is a first layer of discrete thermoplastic particles, sitting on the hot release surface. The discrete particles are above their softening temperatures, providing in the first layer a tackiness. The method includes contacting the carrier with the tacky first layer for sticking the first layer to the carrier, and thereafter removing the carrier, and therewith the tacky first layer stuck to the carrier, from the release surface. Thereby the carrier is provided with a hot, preferably discontinuous and/or elastomeric antislip coating. With a heat energy of the hot coating a bond is formed between the carrier and the coating. The removing of the carrier includes pulling the carrier out of the contact with a pulling-out force. The temperature of the hot release surface is above the melting temperature of the carrier. The carrier would be spoiled, if heated completely to the temperature of the release surface and simultaneously pulled with the pulling-out force. Therefore the contacting time is kept shorter than a minimum time required by a heat of the hot release surface for spoiling the carrier. Flat-topped roughening projections can be included in the antislip coating.
