Material for reducing exposure to ionizing radiation
A material for reducing exposure to ionizing radiation. One exemplary embodiment comprises a felt layer; a foil layer; a first adhesive film layer disposed between the outer felt layer and the foil layer; a radiation shield layer; a second adhesive film layer disposed between the foil layer and radiation shield layer; and a foam layer disposed on the surface of the radiation shield layer opposite the second adhesive film layer. The material may be installed in commercial aircraft, corporate aircraft, flight suits, helmets, military uniforms, rotary aircraft, spacecraft, and the like. For example, the material disclosed herein may be provided as a headliner in an aircraft, or alternatively may be used to line the entire interior of an aircraft. In one or more embodiments, the material may be secured to a surface using a hook and loop attachment mechanism.
Materials and Methods
Multi-layered articles or products comprising layers of filled polymer compositions, methods of making and applications or uses thereof.
THERMALLY EXPANDABLE FIRE-RESISTANT RESIN COMPOSITION AND THERMALLY EXPANDABLE FIRE-RESISTANT SHEET
A thermally expandable fire-resistant resin composition contains a vinyl resin, a nitrogen-containing foaming agent, a phosphorus flame retardant, a polyhydric alcohol, titanium dioxide, and a straight-chain acrylic polymer. The straight-chain acrylic polymer has a weight-average molecular weight within a range of greater than or equal to 4,000,000 and less than or equal to 20,000,000.
Encapsulated fragile insulation materials
A composite board comprising (i) a first foam region; (ii) at least one fragile insulating material; and (iii) a second foam region, where said second foam region is substantially devoid of hydrocarbons.
HIGH-FREQUENCY DIELECTRIC HEATING ADHESIVE SHEET
A high-frequency-dielectric-heating-adhesive-sheet includes: a first adhesive layer containing a first thermoplastic resin; a second adhesive layer containing a second thermoplastic resin; and an intermediate layer, a ratio DPM/DP1 of dielectric property DPM of the intermediate layer to dielectric property DP1 of the first adhesive layer and a ratio DPM/DP2 of the dielectric property DPM of the intermediate layer to dielectric property DP2 of the second adhesive layer are each less than one, and the dielectric property DP1, the dielectric property DP2, and the dielectric property DPM are values of dielectric property (tanδ/ε’r) of the first adhesive layer, the second adhesive layer, and the intermediate layer, respectively. tanδ denotes a dielectric dissipation factor at 23° C. and a frequency of 40.68 MHz and ε‘r denotes a relative permittivity at 23° C. and the frequency of 40.68 MHz.
Interlayer film for laminated glass, laminated glass, and image display system
An interlayer film for laminated glass of the present invention is an interlayer film for laminated glass, comprising one or two or more resin layers, and comprising a first resin layer comprising a resin and a light diffusion particle, in which any resin layer in the interlayer film for laminated glass comprises a colorant.
Formed article
A formed article according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a cylindrical base layer containing a polyimide as a main component, a sliding layer disposed on an inner circumferential surface side of the base layer and containing a polyether ether ketone as a main component, and an outermost layer disposed on an outer circumferential surface side of the base layer and containing a fluororesin as a main component.
Plastic wrap and method for manufacturing the same
A plastic wrap and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The plastic wrap includes at least one resin layer that includes a resin composition. The resin composition includes, based on 100 wt % of the resin composition, 1 to 14 wt % of an inorganic nano powder. The inorganic nano powder includes 1 to 30 wt % of zinc oxide, 1 to 20 wt % of titanium oxide, and at least one of 1 to 35 wt % of a silver salt-doped silicon oxide and 1 to 15 wt % of a rare earth metal salt.
Composite Display Cover
Implementations for composite display cover are described and provide improved protection and durability to device displays as compared with conventional display protection technologies. The described composite display cover, for instance, utilizes an ultra-thin glass layer with a polymer film applied directly to the glass layer and a hard coat applied to the polymer film. The polymer film, for instance, is applied to the glass layer without an adhesive. Further, the composite display cover can be attached to a display, such as via an adhesive layer that adheres the glass layer to a surface of the display.
TRANSPARENT, POLYESTER FILM WITH SMOOTH SURFACE ON ONE SIDE AND COMPRISING POLYMETHYLSILSESQUIOXANE-BASED PARTICLES
An at least three-layer biaxially oriented polyester film is provided that includes a layer B, a rough outer layer A and a smooth outer layer C, with the outer layers A and C each being external layers arranged on the opposite surfaces of the base layer B. The outer layer A includes polymethylsilsesquioxane-based particles, the outer layer C includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles different from the polymethylsilsesquioxane-based particles. The polyester film contains no 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic-acid-derived units as repeat unit, and the film includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles. The polyesters in the outer layers comprise isophthalic acid-derived repeat units in an amount of <19% by weight. The invention further relates to a process for to produce the film and to its use as process film for the transfer of surface properties, especially for furniture surfaces.
