Composite Display Cover

Implementations for composite display cover are described and provide improved protection and durability to device displays as compared with conventional display protection technologies. The described composite display cover, for instance, utilizes an ultra-thin glass layer with a polymer film applied directly to the glass layer and a hard coat applied to the polymer film. The polymer film, for instance, is applied to the glass layer without an adhesive. Further, the composite display cover can be attached to a display, such as via an adhesive layer that adheres the glass layer to a surface of the display.

The first light-diffusing sheet includes first protrusions at an upper surface side thereof. The second light-diffusing sheet includes second protrusions at an upper surface side thereof. The third light-diffusing sheet includes third protrusions at an upper surface side thereof. A shape of the third protrusion may be different from a shape of the first protrusions and/or a shape of the second protrusions.

The first encapsulant layer is interposed between the front sheet and the at least one photovoltaic cell. The second encapsulant layer is interposed between the at least one photovoltaic cell and the back sheet.

The core may include one or more fire retardant elements or insulation materials. Also disclosed are battery packs that include the shielding articles. The shielding articles can be applied in any system that reduced fire propagation would be desirable.
