The bio-based elastomer film and laminate of the present invention have excellent moisture permeability and mechanical performance, which can be widely used in various fields including outdoor sporting goods, clothing, medical treatment, food packaging and shoe materials, and which are environmentally friendly and green products.

FIRE RESISTANT RUBBER COMPOSITIONS AND HOSE

Hoses include a tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly from the tube, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcement layer. The cover layer may be based on a first elastomeric blend of a first chlorinated polyethylene and chlorosulphonated polyethylene, a first flame-resistant composition, and a peroxide/sulfur curing system. The tube may be based upon a second elastomeric blend of a second chlorinated polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate rubber, a second flame-resistant composition, and a peroxide curing system. The first flame-resistant package and the second flame-resistant package includes one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of antimony oxide, zinc molybdate/magnesium silicate complex, magnesium aluminum hydroxy carbonate, and aluminum trihydroxide. In some aspects, the hoses meet the testing performance requirements of EN 45545-2, HL2/R22 category standard, and EN854 type 2TE standard.

Self adhesive fouling release coating composition

A multilayer self-adhesive fouling release coating composition includes an optional removable underlying liner; an adhesive layer applied over and to the optional underlying liner when the latter is present; and a synthetic material layer applied over and to the adhesive layer. Optionally, an intermediate silicone tie coat is applied over and to the synthetic material layer. A silicone fouling release top coat is applied over and to the synthetic material layer, or, when present, over and to the intermediate silicone tie coat. Optionally, a removable polymeric film is applied over and to the fouling release top coat.

Stretchable thermal radiation modulation system via mechanically tunable surface emissivity

Disclosed herein is a thermal radiation modulation system comprising a first low emissivity layer comprising a plurality of distributed, strain-dependent cracks, the first low emissivity layer comprising a first polymer composite layer and a first mirror-like metal layer with low emissivity covering a surface of the first polymer composite layer; a first elastomer layer bonded to the first low emissivity layer opposite to the mirror-like metal layer; and optionally a first stretchable heater, the first stretchable heater is attached to the first elastomer layer opposite to the first low emissivity layer, wherein a top surface of the first low emissivity layer comprising the mirror-like metal layer has a lower emissivity relative to the first elastomer layer. Methods of making and use of the system are further described.

Composite panel having noncombustible polymer matrix core

A composite panel structure of a polymer matrix core sandwiched by metal layers is described. The polymer matrix comprises 1-30 wt % fluoropolymer and 70-99 wt % of a flame retardant mineral. The fluoropolymer may be polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with a high limiting oxygen index, which confers fire resistance properties to the polymer matrix and the composite panel structure. The composite panel structure may be used on the exterior of buildings and may fulfill building code requirements for the polymer matrix core being noncombustible as determined by ASTM E136 and CAN/ULC S114 compliance.
