Floor Matting
Reversible floor mats having two layers bonded together at an undulating surface are described. Each layer has a generally non-constant across over its width and length. The combined thickness of the two layers is generally constant over its width and length. The layers have different colors and/or different surface textures to provide different working surfaces.
Panel Apparatus including Multiple Panels and Mechanical Fasteners and Methods of Assembling the Panel Apparatus
A panel apparatus is described that includes a first sandwich panel and a second sandwich panel arranged substantially parallel to each other, and the first sandwich panel and the second sandwich panel each include a core material inserted between at least two skin layers. The panel apparatus also includes at least one mechanical fastener mechanically embedded into the first sandwich panel and the second sandwich panel. The at least one mechanical fastener at least extends through one skin layer and into the core material of the first sandwich panel and at least extends through one skin layer and into the core material of the second sandwich panel, and the at least one mechanical fastener is configured to accept insertion of an item. Methods of assembling the panel apparatus are also described.
NEW COMPOSITE ARTICLE
The present invention relates to a composite article comprising at least two layers (A) of component a) and at least one layer (B1) of component b). The respective layers (A) and (B1) are alternately linked together. The component a) has a compressive modulus of at least 10 MPa and can, therefore, be considered as a comparably rigid component, which can be also assigned as rigid core element, in contrast thereto the component b) has a compression stress value at a compression of 40% of not more than 20 kPa. By consequence, component b) can be considered as a comparably flexible (elastic) component. Therefore, the composite articles according to the present invention can be considered as semi-flexible materials due to the combination of alternating rigid and flexible segments (layers) within those composite articles. The composite articles according to the present invention may further comprise at least one layer (B2) of component b), which layer is also alternately linked together with the respective layers (A). In addition, at least one layer (B2) crosses at least one layer (B1) with an angle α in the range of 0°<α<180°, wherein both layers (B1) and (B2) are made of component b). The present invention further relates to a method for producing those composite articles as well as to the use of those composite articles in composite applications, for example, wind rotor blades or boat hulls or insulation applications, for example for curved walls or roofs or between rafters.
ATHLETIC GEAR OR OTHER WEARABLE ARTICLES COMPRISING AN EXPANDABLE USER-ENGAGING STRUCTURE
A wearable article such as an article of athletic gear (e.g., a skate, an article of protective athletic equipment such as a helmet, etc.) wearable by a user and comprising an expandable user-engaging structure that is configured to be expanded (e.g., by heat or another stimulus) after manufacturing of the wearable article to conform it to the user or otherwise improve a fit of the wearable article on the user.
GLUELESS DUSTLESS COMPOSITE FLOORING MATERIAL SYSTEM
A glueless dustless composite flooring material system providing PVC-based flooring having waterproof layers providing different qualities of hardness, wear-resistance, sound deadening, and decorative patterns, avoiding the use of moisture-susceptible compressed dust filler, with layers fused together, avoiding the manufacturing complexity and delamination risks of using glue or adhesive, with a quickly-cured, UV-cured top coating providing long-lasting high performance and shortening and simplifying the manufacturing, which can be done in a sheet-form, essentially continuous-run manner, with an ability to quickly and simply change the optional design printing and texturing produced, and having an optional underlayment layer.
Method of producing a fibrous product and a fibrous product
The present invention relates to multi-layer fiber products and a method of manufacturing these kinds of products. The present product comprises a first layer consists mainly of natural fibers and a second, heat-sealing layer located on top of the first layer. The heat-sealing layer consists mainly of synthetic thermoplastic fibers or particles. According to the present method, the heat-sealing layer is brought onto the first layer already during the web forming process, the first and the second layers being formed and joined together in a foam forming process. With the present invention, it is possible to decrease the amount of plastic materials in packaging materials having heat-sealing properties.
Installation of Floorcovering Article on Chemically Abated Flooring Surface and Composite Article
The present invention relates to the installation of floorcovering articles on chemically abated flooring surfaces and the composite article resulting therefrom. More specifically, the invention relates to a process for chemical removal of mastic, putty and/or paste material from a flooring surface. The process includes applying abatement chemical to the mastic material on the flooring surface to soften the mastic material and cause it to physically separate and release from the flooring surface, removal of the mastic material and abatement chemical, and the subsequent application of a barrier coating to the flooring surface. The barrier coating reduces and/or eliminates the migration of residual abatement chemicals into floorcovering articles thereinafter installed on the chemically abated flooring surface. The resulting composite article is comprised of a chemically abated flooring surface containing pores, at least one abatement chemical in said pores, a polymer-containing barrier material, and a floorcovering article.
PHOTOVOLTAIC DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A photovoltaic panel support and system comprising a cross-linked closed cell foam structure and one or more photovoltaic panels is coupled to the cross-linked closed cell foam structure, is disclosed.
Device and method for sound deadening a component
A device for deadening the sound of a component having a damping layer of a foamed material and a stiffening layer, which is fixedly connected to the damping layer and which is stiffer than the damping layer, wherein the damping layer is formed by a foamed hot-melt adhesive.
FOAM STRUCTURE AND PROTECTIVE PAD HAVING SAME
A foam structure is provided. The foam structure includes a plurality of resilient elements and a plurality of flexible connecting elements connected between the resilient elements. The resilient element comprises an upper material layer, a lower foam material layer, and an intermediate material layer. Two adjoining intermediate material layer are connected with each other through at least one connecting element provided therebetween, but an interspace is also provided therebetween. The resilient elements and flexible connecting elements may be integrally formed by integral molding with a foam material as a one-piece foam structure.
