THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER COMPOSITION, FORMED PRODUCT, LAYERED STRUCTURE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE LAYERED STRUCTURE
A thermoplastic elastomer composition including 100 parts by mass of a hydrogenated block copolymer (A), 20 to 180 parts by mass of an acrylic block copolymer (B), 5 to 45 parts by mass of an aromatic polymer (C), and 70 to 250 parts by mass of a softener (D). The hydrogenated block copolymer (A) is a hydrogenated product of a block copolymer (P) having at least two polymer blocks (a1) with a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one polymer block (a2) with a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene. The acrylic block copolymer (B) has at least one polymer block (b1) with a structural unit derived from an acrylate and at least one polymer block (b2) with a structural unit derived from a methacrylate.
AIRCRAFT NOISE CONTROL
A use of a sheet material including a laminate of a first layer of a resilient polymer and a membrane outwardly of the first layer, the membrane being a polymer harder than the resilient polymer, for application to an exterior surface of an aircraft fuselage for noise reduction within the cabin. A method for mitigating vibroacoustic noise in a passenger cabin of an aircraft having a fuselage, the method comprising: coating a portion of an exterior surface of the fuselage with a resilient sheet material.
ADHESIVE STRIP FOR APPLICATION TO AN OBJECT, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SUCH AN ADHESIVE STRIP AND METHOD OF APPLYING SUCH AN ADHESIVE STRIP TO AN OBJECT
An adhesive strip for application to an object, more particularly for application to an object with a strongly curved and/or angled surface or an object with a large surface area is disclosed. Methods of manufacturing and applying such an adhesive strip are disclosed as well. The adhesive strip includes a carrier structure with two opposite main expansion surfaces. At least one main expansion surface has an adhesive. Formed in the carrier structure are several weakened points penetrating the carrier structure from one main expansion surface in the direction of the other main expansion surface. The carrier structure is expandable in one tangential plane of one of the main expansion surfaces.
CONTROLLED RELEASE OF ACTIVATION CHEMICALS FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF SHAPE MEMORY POLYMERS
A method of installing a downhole device comprises introducing a downhole device into a wellbore, the downhole device comprising a substrate and a shape memory polymer in a deformed state disposed on the substrate; combining a modified activation material in the form of a powder, a hydrogel, an xerogel, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing with a carrier to provide an activation fluid; introducing the activation fluid into the wellbore; releasing an activation agent in a liquid form from the modified activation material; and contacting the shape memory polymer in the deformed state with the released activation agent in an amount effective to deploy the shape memory polymer.
MULTI-LAYER COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
Multi-layer composite material, production and use thereof A multilayered composite material comprises as components: (A) a sheet material, (B) a material capable of absorbing water or aqueous fluids, (C) at least one bonding layer and (D) a polyurethane layer with capillaries passing through the entire thickness of the polyurethane layer,
wherein the polyurethane layer (D) comes into direct contact with sheet material (A) or absorption-capable material (B) in one or more places.
Laminated steel plate
In a laminated steel plate in which steel plates are joined to both faces of a core layer, the core layer is formed of a meshed wire group formed using wires in a mesh form and a resin sheet, the wires forming the meshed wire group have a tensile strength of 601 MPa or higher, and an opening of the meshed wire group is equal to or less than ten times the thickness of the steel plates. By thus defining the tensile strength of the wires, light-weightness can be achieved compatibly with high rigidity and shock resistance, and by defining the opening of the meshed wire group, workability and shape stability after being processed can be improved.
Signage overlay article
A signage overlay article includes a polymeric substrate having a thickness in a range from 75 to 1000 micrometers, an optically active sign sheeting fixed to the polymeric substrate, and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer adhered to the polymeric substrate. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer has a thickness in a range from 350 to 3000 micrometers.
Edge-Protection Tape
A self-adhesive edge-protection tape is intended to improve the protective effect for glass edges. This is achieved by providing an adhesive tape which comprises, in sequence directed towards the substrate to be covered, a backing layer (hard phase) and a soft phase comprising a polymer foam, a viscoelastic composition and/or an elastomeric composition, where the thickness of the hard phase is ≦150 μm, the thickness of the soft phase is ≧200 μm and the ratio of the thickness of the soft phase to the thickness of the hard phase is ≧4. The invention also relates to a solar module which comprises an adhesive tape according to the invention adhesive-bonded around at least one portion of the edges thereof, and the use of the claimed adhesive tape for the protection of edges of a solar module.
