MULTILAYER COMPOSITE WITH THERMAL BARRIER PROPERTIES
The present disclosure relates to a multilayer composite that may include a first barrier layer and a first foam layer. The first foam layer may include a polyurethane-based matrix component, and a flame retardant filler component. The multilayer component may also have a HBF flammability rating as measured according to ASTM D4986.
Zero flow fireproof hose utilizing zinc borate and expandable graphite additives
A hose is provided capable of meeting fireproof requirements per AS1055 under no flow condition. The hose has multiple layers of fire protection comprising a silicone rubber layer impregnated with additives including zinc borate and expandable graphite.
BIODEGRADABLE FILM
This invention relates to a biodegradable film which is particularly suitable for the manufacture of packaging and is also characterised by high level mechanical properties.
Footwear Upper
Textile composites for garments including footwear uppers and footwear comprising the same that provide protection from flame and liquid water whilst at the same time being lightweight and flexible for the wearer. The textile composite comprises a microfiber outer layer; a nonwoven layer, and in some embodiments a porous polymeric membrane on a support layer.
FIRE RESISTANT VACUUM INSULATING GLAZING
A fire resistant vacuum insulating glazing assembly includes at least one vacuum insulating glazing unit that has a first glass pane, GP1, which includes an inner pane face and an outer pane face and a second glass pane, GP2, which includes an inner pane face and an outer pane face. A set of discrete pillars is positioned between the first and second glass panes and maintains a distance between the first and the second glass panes. A hermetically bonding seal seals the distance between the first and second glass panes over a perimeter. An internal volume, V, is defined by the first and second glass panes and is closed by the hermetically bonding seal. There is a vacuum of absolute pressure of less than 0.1 mbar and the inner pane faces face the internal volume, V.
FIRE RESISTANT VACUUM INSULATING GLAZING
A fire resistant vacuum insulating glazing assembly with at least one vacuum insulating glazing unit having first and second glass panes; a set of discrete pillars between the glass panes; a hermetically bonding seal sealing the distance between the glass panes; an internal volume defined by the glass panes and closed by the hermetically bonding seal, wherein there is a vacuum of absolute pressure of less than 0.1 mbar. The inner pane faces face the internal volume, and the glazing assembly further includes at least one intumescent unit having a layer of intumescent material, an intumescent unit glass pane, and an intumescent unit peripheral spacer. The intumescent unit glass pane and the intumescent unit peripheral spacer define an intumescent unit volume, and the layer of intumescent material and the intumescent unit peripheral spacer face one of the outer pane faces of the first or second glass panes.
FINES INTERFACE LAYER FOR IMPROVED ENGINEERED WOOD PRODUCTS
An engineered wood based siding, cladding or panel with a fines interface layer between the main strand matrix layers and the fines layer to minimize telegraphing and provide an improved surface appearance. The fines interface layer is applied to the surface of the strand matrix or mat prior to application of the fines layer. The FIL sits between the strand matrix and the fines layer, and prevents the loss of fines into the strand matrix. The FIL thus keeps the fines at the surface so they can effectively and efficiently function to prevent or eliminate strand telegraphing, and provide a smooth finished surface for the product.
Belt comprising a fabric with bilateral satin weave
A belt includes at least one fabric having a first face and a second face parallel to a longitudinal plane of the belt, wherein the fabric includes: a first weft layer formed by a plurality of multifilament weft yarns essentially parallel to each other; a second weft layer formed by a plurality of monofilament weft yarns essentially parallel to each other, wherein the multifilament weft yarns of the first weft layer are overlapped with respective monofilament weft yarns of the second weft layer; and a plurality of multifilament warp yarns wherein the fabric has a weft dominance satin weave on both sides.
Graphic sheet, method of producing graphic sheet, and building structure
A graphic sheet is provided that can be affixed with sufficient adhesive force onto wallpaper, a poster, or other substrate having comparatively low strength, and can be easily renewed without damaging the substrate, which is the underlying layer. A graphic sheet of an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a base film layer having a first surface and a second surface situated on an opposite side of the first surface; and a tacky acrylic foam layer disposed on or above the second surface of the base film layer. The acrylic foam layer contains an acrylic polymer having 20 mass % or more of a unit derived from ethyl acrylate.
Potting Paste for Honeycomb Reinforcement
The invention relates to a potting paste composition for honeycomb reinforcement having improved fire retardancy characteristics. The potting paste composition comprises (a) a curable polymer; (b) a curing agent for the curable polymer; (c) a fire retardant comprising an ammonium polyphosphate in combination with an ingredient selected from the group consisting of metal hydroxides, expandable graphites, liquid phosphate esters, phosphorous organic compounds or salts thereof, and zeolites; and(d) a filler selected from the group consisting of polymeric microspheres, hollow glass microspheres, and thixotropic fillers; wherein the potting paste has an uncured density determined by the method according to EN ISO 1183 of not more than 0.7100 g/cm.sup.3, preferably of at most 0.680 g/cm.sup.3, more preferably of at most 0.673 g/cm.sup.3, still more preferably of at most 0.660 g/cm.sup.3, even more preferably of at most 0.658 g/cm.sup.3, yet more preferably of at most 0.653 g/cm.sup.3 and in particular of at most 0.620 g/cm.sup.3; and wherein the total content of the fire retardant is at least 5.0 wt.-%, preferably at least 10 wt.-%, more preferably at least 15 wt.-%, relative to the total weight of the potting paste composition.
