LAMINATED ADHESIVE TAPE AND COMPOSITION THEREFOR
A laminated adhesive tape includes a substrate comprising two or more plies of thin, flexible material, the substrate having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A polymeric laminating composition comprising a polymer and an alkyl ketene dimer binds the two or more plies and a pressure sensitive adhesive carried on the first major surface. In a further aspect, a method of making a laminated adhesive tape is provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING OBJECTS INCORPORATING SELECTABLY ACTIVE ELECTROMAGNETIC ENERGY FILTERING LAYERS AND COATINGS
A system and method are provided for forming body structures including energy filters/shutter components, including energy/light directing/scattering layers that are actively electrically switchable. The filters or components are operable between at least a first mode in which the layers, and thus the presentation of the shutter components, appear substantially transparent when viewed from an energy/light incident side, and a second mode in which the layers, and thus the presentation of the energy filters or shutter components, appear opaque to the incident energy impinging on the energy incident side. The differing modes are selectable by electrically energizing, differentially energizing and/or de-energizing electric fields in a vicinity of the energy scattering layers, including electric fields generated between a paid of transparent electrodes sandwiching an energy scattering layer. Refractive indices of transparent particles, and the transparent matrices in which the particles are fixed, are tunable according to the applied electric fields.

The invention relates to a film for use in a resilient floor covering, wherein the film comprises (a) a first layer and (b) a second layer and wherein the first layer has a Shore D hardness of 60 to 80 at 20° C. and the second layer has a Shore D hardness of 40 to 65 at 20° C. Also provided is a composite laminate floor covering comprising the film of the invention. Also provided is a floor tile comprising the film of the invention.

A system and method are provided for forming energy filter layers or shutter components, including energy scattering layers that are actively electrically switchable. The energy filters or shutter components are operable between at least a first mode in which the layers, and thus the presentation of the shutter components, appear substantially transparent when viewed from an energy/light incident side, and a second mode in which the layers, and thus the presentation of the energy filters or shutter components, appear opaque to the incident energy impinging on the energy incident side. EMBROIDERED LEATHER PATCHES
A multi-color embroidered leather article includes a leather substrate having a finish surface and a reverse surface and embroidery floss embroidered onto the finish surface. The multi-color leather article is prepared by an embroidery method. The method includes placing the leather substrate on a backing, with the reverse surface in direct contact with the backing; assembling an embroidery hoop on the leather substrate and the backing; embroidering the leather substrate and the backing; removing the embroidery hoop; removing the backing; and clipping excess embroidery floss from the reverse surface.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A FOAM MAT
A method of manufacturing a substantially flat foam floor mat is described. The raw materials for each color layer are separately mixed and heated below their foaming temperature in different batches, and separately pressed through heated rollers to form a plurality of unfoamed sheets. The temperature of the rollers are maintained within a range of 5° C. or less. Two or more unfoamed sheets from each batch are stacked together in a press and heated above their foaming temperature to permit the stacked sheets to foam, expand, and heat-weld together. The press restricts the sheets from vertical expansion while allowing horizontal expansion. Once the sheets are foamed, a series of alternating teeth and receiving slots are cut around the boundary of the mat to form an interlocking peripheral wall.
TOUCH SCREEN SHIELD
A shield that is attachable to a touch sensitive screen is disclosed. The shield may be attached to the touch sensitive screen only at its outer peripheral portion. An air gap is enclosed between the shield and the touch sensitive screen to form a planar air bearing. The shield preferably does not touch the active area of the touch sensitive screen when the user is not touching the shield but only viewing the touch sensitive screen through the shield. This mitigates unwanted optical artifacts such as trapped air bubbles, Newton rings and chromatic interference while maintaining the sensitivity of the touch sensitive screen.
MULTILAYER DISSOLVABLE SOLID ARTICLE WITH SPECIFIC ASPECT RATIO
This provides an improved dissolvable solid article with a specific aspect ratio. Such dissolvable solid article has a multilayer structure comprising two or more flexible, dissolvable, porous sheets, while each of which comprises a water-soluble polymer and a surfactant and is characterized by a Percent Open Cell Content of from 80% to 100% and an Overall Average Pore Size of from 100 μm to 2000 μm. The multilayer dissolvable solid article is characterized by a maximum dimension D and a minimum dimension z; and wherein the ratio of D/z ranges from 1 to 10.
