1,2-phenylene bridged 1-indenyl-2-indenyl metallocene complexes for olefin polymerisation
The invention relates to a metallocene complex according to formula (I), (I) wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from H, an alkyl or an aryl group, wherein R.sub.3 is a C1-C10 alkyl group, wherein R′ is selected from H, an alkyl group, an aryl group and wherein different R′ substituents can be connected to form a ring structure and wherein B is a 1,2 phenylene bridging moiety, which can be optionally substituted, wherein Mt is selected from Ti, Zr and Hf, X is an anionic ligand, z is the number of X groups and equals the valence of Mt minus 2. The invention also relates to a catalyst comprising the reaction product of the metallocene complex and a cocatalyst. Further the invention relates to a (co)polymerisation process of olefinic monomers. ##STR00001##
Multilayer films and methods of making the same
Disclosed are multilayer films with at least one MDO substrate.
Multilayer film for label and a method for providing such
The invention relates to providing a method for obtaining a multilayer film for thermally inducible shrink labels, products thereof and use of such products. The invention provides a multilayer film for labelling, the multilayer film comprising a first skin layer, a second skin layer and a core layer between the first skin layer and the second skin layer, wherein at least one of the first skin layer and the second skin layer comprises cyclic olefin copolymer and the core layer comprises copolymer of ethylene and butyl acrylate or propylene terpolymer.
Multilayer composite material and method for manufacturing
The invention relates to a structural multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The structural multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.
Polyethylene based laminated film structure with barrier properties
Laminated film structure including at least one first film having a thin ceramic or metal coating, being laminated to a second film and whereby the laminated film structure is based on polyethylene only, i.e. polymers other than polyethylene are substantially absent and whereby the laminated film structure has good barrier properties.
Antifog sealant composition and coextruded multilayer polyester film including the same
The invention relates to a sealant antifog composition for polyester films comprising anionic and non-ionic surfactants in a mixture of amorphous and (semi)crystalline polyesters. The invention also relates to a multi-layer film comprising a sealant layer having the above composition, to the use of said films in food packaging and to the packages obtained therefrom.
ORIENTED MULTILAYER SHRINK FILMS WITH POLYSTYRENE OR CYCLIC OLEFIN COPOLYMER SKIN LAYER
Multilayer oriented shrink films include a base layer and at least one skin layer on at least one side of the base layer. The at least one skin layer includes at least one amorphous styrene-butadiene block copolymer or at least one amorphous cyclic olefin copolymer. The base layer has a thickness greater than the at least one skin layer and includes a blend of: (a) at least one styrene block copolymer selected from the group consisting of styrene-ethylene/butene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/butene diblock copolymers and styrene-ethylene-propylene diblock copolymers and combinations thereof; and (b) at least one propylene polymer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene terpolymers with ethylene and butene-1, propylene ethylene copolymers, propylene butene-1 copolymers and combinations thereof.
Ballistic translation efficiency of high performance fibers
A method for improving the translation efficiency of fiber strength into composite strength is provided. A single unidirectional tape, single unidirectional fiber web or a stack of unidirectional web/unidirectional tape plies formed from partially oriented fibers/tapes is primed under mild conditions followed by subjecting the primed plies to an axial extension stress in the axial fiber direction of each fiber ply by passage through a compression apparatus. The axial extension stress extends the fibers, strengthening them, while also compacting the plies together and thereby forming a composite having improved strength. Production yield is improved by avoiding maximal fiber stretching and thereby avoiding typical manufacturing loss, and low weight composite armor having increased strength is achieved.
ORIENTED MULTILAYER SHRINK FILMS WITH POLYSTYRENE SKIN LAYER
Multilayer oriented shrink films include a skin layer and a base layer; the skin layer being on one side of the base layer, characterized in that the skin layer comprises at least one amorphous styrene-butadiene block copolymer and the base layer has a thickness greater than said skin layer and includes a polypropylene terpolymer, a polybutene-1 copolymer, a polypropylene elastomeric copolymer and at least one copolymer from the group consisting of styreneethylene/butene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/propylene-styrene triblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene/butene diblock copolymers, styrene-ethylene-propylene diblock copolymers, and combinations of two or more of said triblock and diblock copolymers.
Film, roll and adhesive tape
