20230145154 · 2023-05-11 ·

A primer coating composition for bonding a functional laminate to a lens during cast-polymerization, including an acrylic polymer; a urethane acrylate oligomer; a reactive component capable of reacting with a lens-casting monomer for casting the cast-polymerized lens, a UV initiator or a thermal initiator, and a solvent. A method for cast-polymerizing a lens, including applying the primer coating composition to at least one external surface of a functional laminate; cutting and forming the functional laminate, placing the shaped functional laminate to which the primer coating is applied and a monomer for casting a lens in a casting cell so that the monomer contacts the primed surface of the functional laminate, and cast-polymerizing the monomer in the casting cell. An ophthalmic lens, including a cast-polymerized lens including at least one polymer, a functional laminate, and a primer coating obtained y curing the primer coating composition and deposited on at least one external surface of the functional laminate.

PLASTOMER TOUGHENED/STIFFENED POLYOLEFIN MULTILAYER FILMS AND LAMINATES COMPRISING SAME

The present disclosure provides for a multilayer film having a sealant layer and a first layer, where the first layer is formed from a first polyolefin composition, and a laminate that includes the multilayer film. The first polyolefin composition of the first layer consists essentially of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin and a propylene-ethylene copolymer thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). In addition to the first layer of the first polyolefin composition and the sealant layer, the laminate also includes a substrate film and an adhesive layer comprising polyurethane in adhering contact with the substrate film and the first layer, where when the adhesive layer is formed from a solvent-free adhesive the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus of greater than 25 MPa, and when the adhesive layer is formed from a solvent-based adhesive the adhesive layer has an elastic modulus of greater than 0.30 MPa, the elastic modulus being measured for the polyurethane in accordance with ASTM D412.

ARTIFICIAL TURF

An artificial turf contains a damping layer made of a particle foam, a fiber backing, and an artificial grass layer made of single or multiple fibers. The fibers are tied to the fiber backing, forming an artificial carpet of grass. The particle foam and the single or multiple fibers forming the artificial grass layer are each made of a thermoplastic elastomer.

ADHESIVELESS THERMALLY LAMINATED BARRIER HEAT SEALING FILMS INCLUDING POLYETHYLENE
20230142282 · 2023-05-11 ·

Provided are heat sealing, barrier laminates including polyethylene. The laminates can be adhesiveless and fully compatible with polyethylene recycling streams. They can exhibit improved, maintained, or desirable properties in comparison to existing laminate structures that are not fully compatible with polyethylene recycling streams. The laminate comprises a multilayer film and an oriented film. The oriented film is thermally laminated to the outer layer of the multilayer film to provide the laminate.

Composite Film and Production Method Thereof
20230150229 · 2023-05-18 ·

A composite film including stacking: a first fiber layer, a metal layer with multiple holes, and a second fiber layer, a stitching structure is arranged along the horizontal direction of the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer within areas of the holes of the metal layer; and the stitching structure in each of the holes is connected, but the stitching structures in different holes are not mutually connected. The stitching structures of this invention pass through the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer, fortifying the stress resistant abilities along the radial direction of the composite film, and thus avoid the peeling off of the stacked structure from the radial direction, and with the independent stitching structure formed independently in each of the holes of the metal layer, the stitching structures would not interact with each other, so that even one of the stitching structure is broken, other stitching structures would not be affected, effectively increasing the durability of the product of this invention.
