This invention relates to an anisotropic multilayer film and the process of making a multilayer film, wherein a supercritical blowing agent is introduced to at least one layer, wherein at least one layer comprises 10 to 100 percent by weight LLDPE with a melt index of 0.2 to 2 g/10 min. The film in this invention can have a surface with an average Sheffield smoothness, according to TAPPI T 538, of less than 100. The film in this invention can have a puncture propagation tear resistance, in accordance with ASTM D2582, greater than 500 g/mil.

The multilayer film of the present disclosure has at least a heat-sealing layer and a support layer formed on one side of the heat-sealing layer, wherein the first resin composition forming the heat-sealing layer comprises (a) high-density polyethylene, (b) a propylene random copolymer, and (c) a 1-butene polymer, wherein the content of the component (a) is 30 to 60% by mass, the content of the component (b) is 8 to 42% by mass, and the content of the component (c) is 16 to 56% by mass, wherein the component (a) has a melt flow rate of 10 to 30 g/10 minutes at 190° C., the component (b) has a melt flow rate of 8 to 20 g/10 minutes at 230° C., and the component (c) has a melt flow rate of 0.3 to 3 g/10 minutes at 190° C.

Multilayer composite material and method for manufacturing

The invention relates to a structural multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The structural multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.

Low outgassing clean adhesive

Provided herein is a solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesive comprising a polymer comprising a vinyl acetate monomer, an acrylic ester monomer, and a monomer having hydroxyl or amine functionality. The adhesive also comprise a crosslinker. The coated and dried adhesive has outgassing of less than 2000 ng/cm.sup.2, even when applied to an electronic device that is operated at elevated temperature.

White polyester film

A white polyester film is described that includes at least a layer including, as a main component, a polyester resin (A), a thermoplastic resin (B) incompatible with the polyester resin (A), and an inorganic particle (C), where the white polyester film achieves high reflectance and a concealing property without increasing the thickness of the reflective film, the layer including voids in which the thermoplastic resin (B) functions as nuclei, wherein in a vertical section of the white film, NB2/NB1×100 (%) is 15% or more, wherein NB1 represents the number of the nuclei of the thermoplastic resin (B), and NB2 represents the number of the sections of the thermoplastic resin (B), the sections including the inorganic particle (C) inside.

LAMINATED BODY

The invention provides a laminated body which contains an environmentally friendly recycled material, has a lamination constitution composed of substantially a single resin type mainly composed of polyester and having a low environmental load, and has required performances such as gas barrier properties, sealability, toughness, and transparency required for a packaging material.

The laminated body is formed by laminating a polyester substrate film containing 50% by weight or more of a polyester resin recycled from PET bottles and a heat sealable resin layer in this order,

wherein the substrate film is a laminated film including an inorganic thin film layer (A) and a protective layer (a) containing a urethane resin on one surface thereof, and

the heat sealable resin layer is formed of a polyester-based resin mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate, and has a piercing strength of 10 N or more and a haze of 20% or less.

[Solution] A barrier laminate according to the present invention includes a multilayer substrate, an evaporated film, and a sealant layer, wherein the multilayer substrate includes at least a polypropylene resin layer and a surface coating layer, the polypropylene resin layer is subjected to a stretching process, the surface coating layer contains a resin material with a polar group, and the evaporated film is composed of an inorganic oxide.
