Colored multilayered composite fabrics
Multilayer composite materials having a camouflaged appearance. More particularly, camouflaged tactical vest covers having slots for the webless attachment of accessories. An easily colored outer fabric is provided with a colored camouflage pattern and backed with a non-colored high tenacity fabric for enhanced durability. A colored intermediate adhesive is employed to maintain a camouflaged visual appearance without the added complexity of dying the high tenacity fibers of the backing material.
Material
A creep resistant material comprises a core layer (12) of rigid polyurethane with a first tensile reinforcement layer (17) applied on one surface and a second tensile reinforcement layer (17) applied on the other opposed surface of the core layer, the entire respective first and second tensile reinforcement layers being in contact with the first and second surface of the core layer of the material.
Composite panels
A composite panel including a multilayer laminate with a plurality of central plies of fibre reinforced resin matrix composite material, wherein at least one of the central plies includes a first fibrous layer of a plurality of non-woven carbon fibres which are substantially randomly oriented, and a rear reinforcement layer which is integrally moulded with the central multilayer portion the reinforcement layer being comprised of a rear ply of fibre reinforced resin matrix composite material, wherein the rear ply includes a second fibrous layer of a plurality of continuous fibres which extend continuously from at least one portion of a first edge of the rear ply to at least one portion of an opposite second edge of the rear ply.
Multilayered sheet
A multilayered sheet is described. The sheet comprises a first layer comprising a polyolefin having a melting temperature, a storage modulus (G) greater than 100,000 psi (690 MPa) at ambient temperature, and a glass transition temperature less than ambient temperature; and a second layer comprising a polymer having a glass transition temperature greater than ambient temperature.
MULTILAYER COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING
The invention relates to a structural multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The structural multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.
Polydimensional Stretchable Laminates
Laminates comprising at least one elastomeric film comprising an olefinic block copolymer, a styrenic block copolymer or combinations thereof, which is primarily stretchable in a first direction, and at least one spunlace nonwoven substrate primarily stretchable in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the laminate is stretchable in both the first and the second directions.
Self-transforming structures
A self-transforming structure is formed from a flexible, fibrous composite having a weave pattern of fibers woven at intersecting angles, the weave pattern having a boundary and one or more axes for the fibers, and an added material coupled to the flexible, fibrous composite to form a structure, wherein the flexible, fibrous composite and the added material have different expansion or contraction rates in response to an external stimulus to cause the structure to self-transform, and wherein the added material has a grain pattern oriented relative the weave pattern of the flexible, fibrous composite. Applications of the self-transforming structures include aviation, automotive, apparel/footwear, furniture, and building materials. One particular example is for providing adaptive control of fluid flow, such as in a jet engine air inlet.
THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITES MATERIALS
Multilayer composites laminates comprising continuous fibers and a polymer matrix including a thermoplastic polymer and an impact modifier are disclosed. The invention further relates to articles incorporating the thermoplastic composites laminate.
PART OF A LUGGAGE SYSTEM COMPRISING A NATURAL FIBER MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE AND REPAIR
The present invention relates to a part of a luggage system, in particular a shell of a hard-shell case or trolley, comprising a natural fiber material. The present invention further relates to a method for the manufacture and a method for the repair of such a part. A part of a luggage system is provided which comprises a fiber-reinforced material, wherein the fiber-reinforced material comprises a natural fiber material and a matrix material. The natural fiber material comprises at least one set of unidirectional fibers which are embedded in and/or impregnated with the matrix material.
MULTILAYER COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING
The invention relates to a multilayer composite comprising a layer of leather in contact with at least one monolayer comprising parallel aligned fibers and a matrix material. The composite may further comprise film layer(s) that may be breathable and/or waterproof. The multilayer composite material is suitable for use in clothing and outdoor gear and apparel.
