Heat shield shoe device
An insulating shoe insert including a core layer formed of a cellular material, and a top layer and a bottom layer bonded to opposing sides of the core layer, respectively, the top layer and the bottom layer being configured as thin sheets of aromatic polyamide material such that the top layer and bottom layer cooperate with the core layer to create a heat transfer resistance sufficient to resist transfer of heat through the core layer.
ANTIMICROBIAL TRANSPARENT PLASTIC IN THE FORM OF FILM OR EXTRUDED SHAPE
Antimicrobial compositions and films are provided comprising a polymer and antimicrobial nanoparticles evenly dispersed in the polymer. The antimicrobial nanoparticles comprises an ionic antimicrobial agent and a support agent that localizes the ionic antimicrobial agent to surfaces of the support agent, and wherein the support agent releases the ionic antimicrobial agent through chemical exchange. In this manner, the antimicrobial nanoparticles act as a stored source of antimicrobial agents. The polymer configured to allow the ionic antimicrobial agent released by the support agent to permeate or migrate through the polymer and to the surface of the composition or film, thereby maintaining antimicrobial properties on the surface of the composition for film over an extended time.
COATINGS COMPRISING ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVE INGREDIENTS FOR FOOD PACKAGING
The present invention relates to a sheet-like element suitable for use in a food packaging, comprising a coating layer comprising surface-reacted calcium carbonate. The coating layer is adapted for being loaded with an antimicrobial active composition, such as an essential oil. The present invention further relates to a coating layer comprising surface-reacted calcium carbonate loaded with an antimicrobial active composition suitable for use in a food packaging, as well as to a process for the manufacture of said sheet-like element, a sheet-like element supply device, a food packaging comprising said sheet-like element, the use of said sheet-like element in a food packaging and the use of said sheet-like element for achieving an antimicrobial and/or antifungal and/or anti-mould and/or antifouling effect in a food packaging.
ANTIMICROBIAL MULTILAYER STRETCH-WRAP AND METHOD TO PRODUCE THE SAME
A multilayer antimicrobial stretch plastic wrap, comprising at least three layers, wherein at least one layers comprising multiple metal compound particles integrated into said layer material, and wherein said at least one layer is not the central layer of the wrap and wherein, said at least one layer is proximal to an outer surface of the wrap than to the center of the wrap.
EXCERCISE MAT
An exercise mat comprising: at least one top layer comprising polyurethane, at least one bottom layer, and at least one middle layer disposed between the at least one top layer and the at least one bottom layer.
RUNNING SHOES, HIKING SHOES AND BOOTS, SNOWBOARD BOOTS, ALPINE BOOTS, HIKING BOOTS, AND THE LIKE, HAVING WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE MOISTURE TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS
The waterproof/breathable moisture transfer liner for a running and hiking shoe includes an inner liner selected from technically advanced fabrics which are carefully selected. A series of layers are provided outside the inner liner including foam material layers, breathable membranes, a supportive mesh or a moldable foam, and an outer shell fabric. The applicability of the liner to alpine, snowboard boots, cross country, hiking boots, protective gear and helmets, along with appropriate variations for each application.
SELF-STERILIZING PROTECTION FOR SURFACES
The disclosure relates to laminate structures to cover or protect substrates or surfaces. The laminate structure comprises a support layer and a self-sterilizing/antimicrobial layer comprising a sulfonated polymer, capable of killing microbes within minutes and for an extended period of time. The sulfonated polymer has a sufficient degree of sulfonation to kill in less than 120 minutes at least 90% of microbes in contact with the surfaces, and for extended protection of the surfaces for at least one month. The laminate structure is particularly suitable for protecting high-touch surfaces such as door knobs, touch-screens, tables, as well as for use with facemasks, face shields, or as self-sterilizing wraps for surgical instruments and supplies. The laminates can also be used as garments or to cover/protect personnel having contagious diseases, etc., to decrease the transmission of microbes.
Composite Structure
A composite structure comprising a resinous component that is adhered to a surface of a metal component is provided. The resinous component is formed from a polymer composition that comprises a polyarylene sulfide, inorganic fibers, and an impact modifier. The inorganic fibers have an aspect ratio of from about 1.5 to about 10.
METHOD FOR PREPARING MAT-FACED BOARD
Disclosed is an improved facer mat for use as a cover sheet for gypsum board. Also disclosed are gypsum boards containing such mat facers on one or both major surfaces of the board (face and back sides when installed), a method of manufacturing such board, and a method of making the mat. The mat can comprise glass, thermoplastic, and/or thermoset fiber. In preferred embodiments, binder is included with the fiber. The mat has outer and inner surfaces. The mat comprises a first region adjacent to the outer surface defined along a horizontal plane of the mat, the first region having a first substantial thickness, and a second region adjacent to the inner surface defined along a horizontal plane of the mat, the second region having a second substantial thickness. The first region has (a) more hydrophilicity than the second region, (b) more wettability than the second region, and/or (c) less density than the second region.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL REINFORCED MEMBRANE
A three-dimensional reinforced membrane is designed to be inflated and used in various structural applications. A dropstitch or double wall fabric may be reinforced with one or more coatings, such as urethane-based coatings, and may also be laminated in accordance with various disclosed embodiments.
