GYPSUM BOARD INCLUDING A COATED FACING MATERIAL
In general, the present invention is directed to a gypsum board comprising a gypsum core and a glass mat facing material including a coating. The coating comprises a resin including an acrylic resin, a siloxane rubber, or a mixture thereof and hydrophobic additive comprising an organosilane. The gypsum board passes at least one of the three air and water barrier tests specified in AC-212 wherein the tests comprise a water penetration barrier test as conducted in accordance with ASTM E331-00, a hydrostatic head test as conducted in accordance with AATCC 127-2008, or an air barrier test as conducted in accordance with ASTM E2357-11.
PTP blister sheet, and PTP blister pack formed from same
To provide a PTP blister sheet exhibiting a high adsorption effect over prolonged periods, and a PTP blister pack formed from it. A PTP blister sheet having at least a gas barrier layer and an odor adsorption layer, wherein the odor adsorption layer comprises a heat-sealable resin containing an odor adsorption agent, and the odor adsorption agent is formed by a chemical adsorption agent supported on an inorganic porous body, and a PTP blister pack formed from it.
Gas barrier film
A gas barrier film that includes at least a film base material including a polyester resin having a butylene terephthalate unit as a main constituent unit, and one or more metal oxide layers wherein the gas barrier film has a heat shrinkage rate in the machine direction (MD direction) after heating for 30 minutes at 150° C. of 0.6% or more but less than 3.0%, the heat shrinkage rate being represented by the following formula: Heat shrinkage rate={(Length before heating−Length after heating)/Length before heating}×100(%).
Soundproofing material
A soundproofing material including a porous body having a cell structure and including inorganic fibers other than asbestos, wherein an average cell diameter is more than 300 μm and 1000 μm or less, a bulk density is 0.007 to 0.024 g/cm.sup.3, and a flow resistivity is 170,000 to 2,000,000 Ns/m.sup.4.
BARRIER LAYERS
The invention relates to the use of special polymer layers as barriers, in particular as barrier layers in composite materials. Suitable polymers for the polymer layer are copolymers consisting of ethylene and vinyl alcohol or consisting of ethylene and carbon monoxide or consisting of ethylene and carbon monoxide and propylene. These barrier layers exhibit a selective barrier effect with respect to different gases, the barrier effect being especially effective with respect to HFOs. On account of these properties, such barrier layers can positively affect insulating properties, for example in thermally insulated pipes.
COMPOSITION OF AN ADHESIVE BARRIER LAYER BETWEEN A NON-WOVEN MATERIAL AND ANOTHER NON-WOVEN MATERIAL FOR PROCESSING AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES
A composition of an adhesive water-tight and steam-tight barrier layer that includes an acoustically insulating polyamide layer which along one side is provided with: a first water-tight and steam-tight polyethylene-layer (6) with 0-25 weight % ethylene vinyl acetate and with a melting point between 70° C. and 110° C.; and along the opposite side is provided with an optional second water-tight and steam-tight and pure polyethylene layer. A third water-tight and steam-tight polyethylene/ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer layer with 15-25 weight % ethylene vinyl acetate and with a melting point between 70° C. and 95° C. bordering the second and pure polyethylene layer or, when the latter is missing, the acoustically insulating polyamide layer itself.
Multilayer Structure, Molded Product, and Method for Producing Molded Product
The present disclosure provides a multilayer structure having a gas barrier layer and a polyurethane layer; a molded product having such a multilayer structure; and a method for producing the molded product.
Monolithic breathable film and composite manufactured therefrom
Breathable multilayer films suitable for a wide variety of uses (e.g., protective apparel, surgical gowns, surgical drapes, aprons, roofing material, house wrap, etc.) are disclosed. The breathable multilayer film may include a monolithic core layer. The monolithic core layer may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer. The breathable multilayer film may also include at least one skin layer. The skin layer or layers may comprise at least one highly breathable polymer, a filler, and a non-breathable material. An exemplary structure of the breathable multilayer film provides a monolithic core layer, a first skin layer on one side of the monolithic core layer, and a second skin layer on the other side of the monolithic core layer. An exemplary construction of one or both of the skin layers includes one or more highly breathable polymers, a filler, and a non-breathable material. The filler, for example, may comprise calcium carbonate.
Use of dual ovenable polyester films in thermoforming packaging applications and dual ovenable thermoformed packages obtained therefrom
The present invention relates to thermoforming food packaging methods and to dual ovenable thermoformed food packages suitable for cooking food products directly in the package in microwave, conventional and convection ovens. These packages are characterized by good hermeticity, clean peelability, self-venting, very good optics and, if shrunk, a very appealing appearance.
Laminate
The present disclosure provides a laminate having a gas barrier layer and a polyurethane layer.
