Combine with threshing chamber defined by distinct sequences of concaves

A combine for harvesting a harvested material that includes a grain, the combine comprising: a threshing chamber comprising a series of threshing and separating apparatuses, sequentially arranged, comprising at least: (i) a straight bar concave (ii) a first round bar concave, and (iii) a second round bar concave. The size of each of the straight bar throats is smaller than a size of the first openings, and the size of each of the first openings is smaller than the size of each of the second openings.

LATCH MECHANISM FOR AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER CONCAVES

An agricultural harvesting machine includes a chassis and a threshing system carried by the chassis. The threshing system includes a rotor, a frame assembly and at least one concave carried by the frame assembly. A latch mechanism supports and secures the concave relative to the frame assembly and includes a concave support bar, a clamping bar and a quick-connect, over center latch for tool-less operation.

A threshing and separating system for a combine harvester includes a threshing cage and a plurality of movable vanes mounted to the threshing cage. The threshing cage partially surrounds a threshing rotor. The plurality of movable vanes are moveable between a first position in which all of the vanes of the plurality of movable vanes are substantially parallel with one another and a second position in which an acute angle is defined between each pair of adjacent vanes of the plurality of movable vanes. The acute angles progressively increase in the rearward direction of the threshing cage such that the acute angle between adjacent vanes at a forward end of the threshing cage is less than the acute angle between adjacent vanes at a rearward end of the threshing cage.

AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER WITH IMPROVED ROTOR TRANSITION GEOMETRY

An agricultural harvester includes a chassis and a threshing and separating system carried by the chassis that is configured for threshing and separating grain from gathered crop material. The threshing and separating system includes: a rotor defining a longitudinal axis; a concave at least partially surrounding the rotor; a transition cone defining an infeed to the rotor; and a transition surface connecting the transition cone to the concave and having a conical portion defined about the longitudinal axis and a blended portion connected to the conical portion. The blended portion defines a first end connected to the conical portion and a second end distanced from the first end in a lateral direction. The blended portion defines a substantially conical shape about the longitudinal axis at the first end and approaches a substantially cylindrical shape about the longitudinal axis toward the second end.
