A pet waste collection device for collecting and discarding animal waste is provided. The device comprises a shaft with a vacuum head mounted to the shaft. A vacuum motor is mounted within the vacuum head. A nozzle is connected to the shaft and the vacuum motor provides a suction to the second end of the nozzle. A retractable claw member having a plurality of extendable claw fingers extends from the nozzle. A waste bag is positioned within the claw member. An access port is formed in the vacuum handle. Upon collection of the pet waste in the waste bag, the claw fingers close as the claw member retracts into the nozzle, the open end of the waste bag closing shut. The bagged pet waste is suctioned by the vacuum motor through the shaft to a waste bag receptacle within the vacuum handle and removable from the receptacle through the access port.

Milk urea-N yield (MUNY) as a nutritional and environmental management tool for the dairy industry

The present disclosure provides methods and systems for optimizing a cost efficiency or a nitrogen-use efficiency (NUE) for a feeding regimen of a herd of interest of milk-producing animals, for monitoring a urinary urea-N excretion (UUNE) for a herd of interest of milk-producing animals, and for monitoring a NUE for a herd of interest of milk-producing animals. The methods include use of a milk urea-N yield (MUNY) value or a ratio of MUNY to a protein yield (PY) in milk produced by the herd of interest.

Multi-roll pet waste bag organizer and dispenser

A wall-mounted, vertical holder, organizer and dispenser for pet waste bag rolls. Pet waste bag rolls come in standardized sizes wound about a spool, each bag separated from the next by a serrated transversal line. These rolls can be fed horizontally from the top of the dispenser to remain held and organized in the dispenser in a stacked configuration. The dispenser facilitates a bag being separated from the bottom-most roll, pulled through a wedge and chute located near the base on the front of the dispenser, and torn off for use without dislodging the bags from the dispenser or the dispenser from the wall. The wedge holds the next bag in the chute, ready for next use.

USING WICKING MATERIAL TO COLLECT URINE FROM A MALE FOR TRANSPORT
20180049910 · 2018-02-22 ·

A device for collecting urine flowing from a penis in such a manner that the urine can be transported from the device as the urine is being collected. The device includes a flexible layer of porous material; flexible wicking material disposed on one side of the layer of porous material; and a flexible layer of impermeable material secured to the periphery of the other side of the layer of porous material and so covering the other side of the layer of porous material as to define a chamber between the layer of porous material and the layer of impermeable material. Urine can be collected within the chamber for transport. The chamber has a port for receiving a tube so that urine collected within the chamber can be transported from the chamber by being drawn from the chamber when a partial vacuum is applied within the chamber via the received tube. The combination of the wicking material, the layer of porous material and the layer of impermeable material is so dimensioned and configured as to provide a receptacle for receiving the head of a penis.
