The harvesting machine includes a conveyer disposed adjacent to the cutting head and configured to move the cut crop to be threshed along a path. A thresher is configured to thresh the cut crop to provide threshed grain from the cut crop. A separator is disposed adjacently to the thresher and is configured to separate debris from the threshed grain. A feed accelerator is disposed between the conveyor and the thresher, wherein the feed accelerator is configured to advance the cut crop along the path from the conveyor to the thresher. A pre-threshing device is disposed adjacently to the feed accelerator, wherein the feed accelerator interacts with the pre-threshing device to provide threshed grain, and the pre-threshing device is configured to collect the threshed grain before the remaining cut crop is threshed at the thresher.

A cleaning device includes a first frame plate, a shaking plate, a second frame plate, a sieve body, a driving mechanism, a throwing rod, and a crank and connecting rod mechanism. The shaking plate is mounted in the first frame plate, forms an angle of inclination with a horizontal plane, and is connected to a shaking device. The second frame plate is mounted below the first frame plate, and is connected to the first frame plate through a crank mechanism. The sieve body is mounted in the second frame plate. The driving mechanism is connected to the shaking device and the second frame plate, and configured for driving the shaking device to cause the shaking plate to shake and driving the second frame plate to cause the sieve body to perform a sieving motion. A fixed base is installed on the upper end of the outlet of the cleaning centrifugal fan, a linear moving guide rail device is installed on the fixed base, the linear moving guide rail device is equipped with a moving slider, the moving slider is installed with a rotating mechanism, the rotating mechanism output end is provided with a smoke releasing duct, the smoke releasing duct is communicated with the smoke generation and transmission device. The detection device and method can test the manufacturing and assembly quality of the cleaning system of the combine harvester by combining the characteristics of wind tunnel streamline pattern with image processing and corresponding mathematical operation.

Combine harvesters are provided for use in harvesting seed corn from corn plants in fields. In connection therewith, a method for producing such seed corn from the corn plants, for use in growing subsequent corn plants, includes measuring a moisture content of corn kernels on ears of the corn plants in the field and removing, by one of the combine harvesters, the ears of corn from the corn plants when the moisture content satisfies a threshold moisture content. The method then includes separating the corn kernels from cobs of the ears of corn onboard the combine harvester and collecting the separated corn kernels for use as seed corn, whereby one or more subsequent corn plants can be grown from the collected corn kernels.

A combine double-decker crop residue spreader for use with a rotating chopper having chopper blades and through which air is blown may include a divider panel separating a lower portion from an upper portion of the spreader. The divider panel extends rearwardly from a location where the chopper blades transition from rotating towards the divider panel to rotating away from the divider. An airflow conduit extends above the divider panel in the upper portion to rearwardly direct air flow. At least one lower vertical panel below the divider panel in the lower portion rearwardly directs crop residue.

A grain harvesting vehicle is configured to harvest a grain. A chaffer is configured to separate grain from material other than grain (MOG). A grate is positioned rearward of the chaffer. The grate includes a grate panel having an upper surface and a lower surface and an aperture in the grate panel extending between the upper surface and the lower surface. The aperture has a first end nearer the chaffer and a second end opposite the first end. The grate further includes a ramp portion extending above the grate panel from adjacent the first end of the aperture toward the second end of the aperture. A grain sensor has a sensing location positioned at a height below the grate.

A combine grain cleaning system having front and rear rollers, a conveyor belt having an upper surface extending from the front roller to the rear roller, a motor operatively connected to the conveyor belt and configured to drive the upper surface in a belt travel direction from the front roller to the rear roller, and a baffle located adjacent the rear roller. The baffle has a leading edge, a trailing edge located behind the leading edge with respect to the belt travel direction and below the leading edge with respect to a vertical direction, and a baffle surface extending from the leading edge to the trailing edge. One or more sieves are located below the baffle, and a fan is provided to direct an airflow at least partially upwards in the vertical direction adjacent the rear roller. A method for separating grain is also provided.
