A size-adaptable dog lead, comprising a leash component having a first cord portion, a handle formed at one end of the first cord portion, and a ring attached to the end of the first cord portion opposite the handle; a harness component connectable to the leash component, wherein the harness component further comprises a second cord portion formed into a collar band and a chest band; a releasable clasp attached to one end of the second cord portion adapted to engage and disengage the ring attached to the first cord portion; a loop formed at the end of the second cord portion; a ring interlocked with the loop; wherein the collar band is formed by passing one section of the second cord portion though the ring interlocked with the loop and around the neck of the dog; and wherein the chest band is formed by passing another section of the second cord portion transversely under the body of the dog and then upward and through the loop for attachment to the leash component using the releasable clasp.

A training harness for a pet with a neck loop 16 placed over the neck of the pet. An upper connector 42 lays on the back of the pet with a lower connector 54 lying along the underside of the pet. A convertible strap 12 encircles the chest of the pet behind the front legs and connects with buckles to the upper connector strap 42. The left buckle of the upper connector is opposite to and mates with the left buckle of the convertible strap. The right buckle on the upper connector is opposite to and mates with the right buckle on the convertible strap. This allows the convertible strap 12 to be removed from the lower connector 54 and used apart from the balance of the device as a traditional collar with mating connectors at each end of the convertible strap 12. Multiple connection points are provided for attaching a leash for different training styles.

An interchangeable collar system includes a base unit and a decorative panel removably fastened to an outward facing surface of the base unit with fasteners. The base unit also has an inward facing surface, a first tab that can connect to a second tab with a coupling component. A method of changing an appearance of a dog collar includes providing the collar base unit and a first decorative panel; removing the panel; and fastening a second decorative panel to the outward facing surface. The inventive system enables the user to switch between multiple designs without requiring the purchase of many collars.

A collar device is described herein comprising a spacer component including at least one emitter and at least one detector, the spacer component comprising a plurality of optical pathway elements, wherein the plurality of optical pathway elements comprises a first optical pathway element and a second optical pathway element. The spacer component is secured to the device, wherein the first optical pathway element extends from an emitter, wherein the second optical pathway element extends from a detector. The emitter is configured to project light through the first optical pathway element toward skin tissue of an animal. The detector is configured to detect portions of the light reflected by the skin tissue back through the second optical pathway element. One or more applications running on at least one processor of the device is configured to use information of reflected light to determine a biological metric.

A leashed collar for a dog or pet having individual links that connect and form the structure of the collar. Links may be easily added or removed for length adjustability. The collar is structured for adding a martingale attachment in one embodiment. Other decorative and ornamental articles can be added to the collar, such as jewelry.

The collar has a plurality of links, with each link comprising an upper horizontal member, and vertical legs. The vertical legs are spaced apart from each other and extend generally parallel to each other. A plurality of connectors has vertical voids extending there through. Vertical legs of the links extend through the vertical voids of the connectors. Lower horizontal members engage a vertical leg of the links to hold the construct together.

Training devices and methods are disclosed herein for training animals on a lead against excessive pulling by delivery escalating stimuli to the animal. The training devices described herein are coupled to a collar and include a housing with portions that can be moved toward one another against a force provided by a biasing device, such that when the collar is pulled against the neck of the animal, the compression of the training device between the collar and the neck of the animal causes the housing portions to move together. This configuration can be utilized to determine an amount of force imparted to a lead by an animal and/or to expose electrodes of a shock assembly.

A dog leash attachment system for selectively and releasably attaching a dog leash to a dog collar or harness, wherein the dog leash and the dog collar or dog harness each comprises a portion of a fastener device further comprising at least one magnetic attachment component and at least one mechanical attachment component. One portion of the fastener device is attached in fixed relation to the dog leash at a position proximal to the distal end of the dog leash. Another magnet is disclosed for use in maintaining a portion of the fastener device proximally to the collar or harness when the leash is not in use.

The present invention teaches a system for hydrating a dog during a walk or a jog, including a hand-held rehydrating liquid reservoir, a tube for feeding the rehydrating liquid to a dog collar, and a dog collar that presents the rehydrating liquid in proximity of a dog's mouth. The liquid transport arm may be one quarter or one half elliptical in shape. The liquid transport arm may include mouthpiece which may be a flavored treat, wherein the flavored treat may include holes allowing the rehydrating liquid to pass therethrough for presentment to the dog's mouth.

A smart bed for an animal includes a microprocessor, and at least one sensor communicatively coupled with the microprocessor configured to measure at least one of ambient temperature, humidity, moisture, sound, animal temperature, animal weight, animal dimensions, and animal movement.
