A liquid discharging apparatus has: a head unit that discharges a liquid; and a control unit that controls the operation of the head unit. The head unit has: a driving circuit board that includes a driving signal output circuit that outputs a driving signal, and also includes a substrate on which the driving signal output circuit is mounted; a discharge head that includes a driving element driven by the driving signal, a switching circuit that selectively supplies the driving signal to the driving element, and a nozzle plate in which a nozzle is formed, the nozzle discharging the liquid by being driven by the driving element; a first flow path member through which the liquid to be discharged from the nozzle passes; and a first heat dissipating member coupled to the driving circuit board. The first heat dissipating member is coupled to the first flow path member.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid storage unit for collecting a liquid supplied to an ejecting head is provided. The liquid is supplied to a plurality of ejecting heads via a pressure regulating valve, and the liquid is suctioned from the plurality of ejecting heads by a circulation pump, and then is discharged to the liquid storage unit. In this way, since the liquid is suctioned from each of the ejecting heads, the passage resistance is decreased, so that the ink can be appropriately circulated. In addition, since the ejecting head is supplied with the liquid at an appropriate pressure from the liquid storage unit via the pressure adjusting valve, the liquid can be appropriately ejected.

Dual regulator print module

A print module includes a printhead die, an input regulator to regulate input fluid pressure to the die, and an output regulator to regulate output fluid pressure from the die. A method includes receiving fluid at an input regulator to a print module, creating a fluid pressure differential within the print module between the input regulator and an output regulator, flowing fluid from the input regulator through a printhead die and to an output regulator using the pressure differential, and drawing fluid from the output regulator.

Dual regulator print module

A print module includes a printhead die, an input regulator to regulate input fluid pressure to the die, and an output regulator to regulate output fluid pressure from the die. A method includes receiving fluid at an input regulator to a print module, creating a fluid pressure differential within the print module between the input regulator and an output regulator, flowing fluid from the input regulator through a printhead die and to an output regulator using the pressure differential, and drawing fluid from the output regulator.

The guide unit has a receiving surface, and guides the waste ink to the maintenance tank. Second surface energy is larger than first surface energy when the first surface energy indicates surface energy at a first position on the receiving surface with respect to the waste ink and the second surface energy indicates surface energy at a second position closer to the maintenance tank than the first position.

Liquid ejection apparatus, storage medium, and control method

A controller is configured to: (a) control a head according to a recording command received to eject liquid through ejection openings toward a recording medium; (b) control a discharger to discharge the liquid toward a receiving member through at least one of the ejection openings; (c) determine whether a remaining amount representing an amount of the liquid on the receiving member and based at least on an amount of the liquid discharged onto the receiving member in the step (b) is equal to or greater than a first predetermined amount; and (d) control the remover to remove the liquid on the receiving member. The controller is configured to perform the step (a) before the step (d) when it is determined in the step (c) that the remaining amount is less than the first predetermined amount.

A liquid ejection apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head having a nozzle which ejects a liquid containing volatile organic compounds to a medium; and a maintenance unit that has a cap, which forms a closed space including an opening of the nozzle, and a suction unit that suctions a fluid from the closed space, and that performs maintenance for discharging the liquid from the nozzle by reducing pressure of the closed space. The maintenance unit is provided with a filter for adsorbing volatile organic compounds contained in the liquid discharged from the liquid ejection head.

Each one of the longitudinal slots is configured to supply power and data only to a respective one of the rows of print chips.
