LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, WASTE LIQUID COLLECTING UNIT, AND WASTE LIQUID COLLECTING METHOD
A recording apparatus includes a discard absorbing member (first absorbing member) that absorbs a liquid discarded from a discharge head to an outer side of an end portion of a medium supported by a support section as a waste liquid. Further, the recording apparatus includes: a cap which is an example of a waste liquid receiving section that receives the liquid ejected from the discharge head as a waste liquid; a waste liquid absorbing member (second absorbing member) that absorbs the waste liquid sent from the cap; and a waste liquid box (accommodating section) that holds the waste liquid absorbing member. The discard absorbing member and the waste liquid absorbing member 50A are coupled to each other such that the waste liquid can be delivered from the discard absorbing member to the waste liquid absorbing member.
DETERMINING SPIT LOCATIONS
An example of a printing apparatus is disclosed. The printing apparatus comprises a carriage comprising a printhead to spit a printing fluid, the carriage to move over a service zone and a print zone. The printing apparatus also comprises a controller to determine a spit location within the service zone associate with the printing fluid; and spit, during the service operation, an amount of the printing fluid at the spit location of the service zone associated to the printing fluid.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a recording portion, a liquid container portion containing a liquid to be supplied to the recording portion, a body in which the recording portion and the liquid container portion are mounted, and a housing that houses the body. The body can be changed in position between a closed position and an open position in a position-change direction intersecting with a vertical direction. The body, when located at the closed position, is housed inside the housing. The body, when located at the open position, protrudes from the housing in a first position-change direction of the position-change direction. The liquid container portion includes a container space containing the liquid to be supplied to the recording portion, and a liquid inlet through which the liquid can be poured into the container space. The liquid inlet is exposed when the body is located at the open position.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING CONSUMABLE ORDER PROCESSING PROGRAM
A controller performs: determining which of a first state, a second state, and a third state a consumption level of a first consumable corresponds to; determining which of a fourth state, a fifth state, and a sixth state a consumption level of a second consumable corresponds to; and in a case where the first consumable becomes the third state before the second consumable becomes the sixth state, selectively performing an order process or a non-order process for first and second consumables based on determination results. The selectively performing the order process or the non-order process includes: in a case where the second consumable is in the fourth state, performing the order process for the first consumable and performing the non-order process for the second consumable; and in a case where the second consumable is in the fifth state, performing the order process for the first and second consumables.
PRINTHEAD MODULE HAVING ALTERNATE PCBS AND ROWS OF PRINT CHIPS
A printhead module includes a monolithic substrate having longitudinal ink supply channels defined through a thickness of the substrate and extending parallel with each other along a length of the substrate; rows of print chips mounted on a front face of the substrate, each row of print chips receiving ink only from a respective one of the ink supply channels; and first PCBs mounted on the front face, each PCB extending alongside a respective one of the rows of print chips and supply power thereto. The rows of print chips and the first PCBs are mounted alternately across the front face of the substrate.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a conveying belt, a recording head, and a flushing controller. The conveying belt includes the plurality of openings formed as a plurality of rows of openings, each row composed of openings arranged at predetermined intervals in a widthwise direction of the conveying belt. The openings of each of the plurality of rows of openings include overlapped portions at which the openings are over-lapped with the openings of any other of the plurality of rows of openings along a widthwise direction of the conveying belt. The flushing controller allows the recording head to do flushing by allowing each of all the nozzles inclusive of the nozzles facing the overlapped portions to eject ink a predetermined number of times.
LIQUID CONTAINER AND LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
There is provided a liquid container including: a pouch and a case. The pouch includes a flexible bag and a spout with a first opening. The case includes a tank to store a liquid flowed through the second opening. The spout is fitted into the case, and the bag is positioned in the tank.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording head including a plurality of pressurizing chambers for storing ink and a plurality of pressurizing elements for pressing ink in the pressurizing chambers to eject ink from nozzles; a head driver including a driving pulse generator that applies a drive voltage to the pressurizing element to generate a drive waveform for ejecting ink from the nozzles; a conveying belt having a plurality of openings which conveys a recording medium; and a control portion. The control portion controls the driving of the head driver and the conveying belt to perform flushing where ink droplets are ejected from the nozzles in the recording head to pass through one of the plurality of openings with a timing different from that for image recording, using a drive waveform with which the ink droplets ejected from the nozzle each become one droplet before passing through the openings.
RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device includes an ejecting head ejecting ink onto a medium, a first ink absorber disposed at a position facing the ejecting head and absorbing waste ink, among the ink, ejected to a position beyond an edge during borderless recording, a platen configured to supports the first ink absorber, and support the medium during the borderless recording, a first waste ink tray including a first discharge port discharging the waste ink, the first waste ink tray receiving the waste ink flowing out from the first ink absorber, and a discharge mechanism discharging, from the first discharge port, the waste ink received by the first waste ink tray, wherein the first waste ink tray includes a plurality of inclined regions inclined to guide the waste ink to the first discharge port, and each of the plurality of inclined regions has a different inclination direction.
