Round baler

A round baler has a rear door pivotable relative to the frame. A circulating press element defines a press chamber inside the frame for forming crop bales. A tension rocker is pivotable relative to the frame and has a rotatable rocker guide roller guiding the press element. A first pressure element is arranged at frame and rear door and acts between frame and rear door. A second pressure element is arranged at rear door and tension rocker and acts between rear door and tension rocker. At least one of the pressure elements is a linear actor. By length expansion of the first pressure element, rear door and tension rocker are pivotable, wherein the rear door is pivotable upwardly to enable ejection of crop bales. The rear door is pivotable downwardly by length expansion of the second pressure element. A method for operating the round baler is provided.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING PLUGGING OF ROUND BALERS
20250318473 · 2025-10-16 ·

Systems and methods for reducing plugging of a round baler that is towed or self-propelled are disclosed. The systems and methods comprise using one or more sensors to monitor operation of the round baler, where the one or more sensors are selected from the group consisting of speed sensors, torque sensors and pressure sensors. A control system controls operation of the round baler based on data received from the one or more sensors. The controller is configured to control a belt tightener system to dynamically control the tension in one or more bale forming belts during baler operation in response to data received from the one or more sensors to thereby avoid the baler from being plugged by the crop material.

TAKE-UP, TENSIONING OR SERPENTINE ARM WITH PIVOTING ROLL FOR AGRICULTURE BALER
20250324926 · 2025-10-23 · ·

A take-up or serpentine arm assembly for an agricultural baler, which arm assembly is moveable between a first position corresponding to an empty bale chamber of the baler and a second position corresponding to an at least partially filled bale chamber of the baler. The arm assembly includes a primary arm having a first rotatable roll mounted thereto and a secondary arm having a second rotatable roll mounted thereto. The secondary arm is moveably connected to the primary arm, or vice versa, such that in the first position of the arm assembly, the second rotatable roll is positioned a first distance away from the first rotatable roll, and in the second position of the arm assembly, the second rotatable roll is positioned a second distance away from the first rotatable roll that is less than the first distance.

BALER

A baler for forming round bales of crops, includes: a frame providing an internal volume; a compression chamber for compressing the crops to form the bale; a plurality of belts placed side by side in the internal volume; a tensioning system having a pair of tensioning arms associated with a pair of actuators wherein the tensioning system is configured for adjusting the tension of the belts to a tensioning set point; wherein the tensioning system has a couple of fluid accumulators having a gas volume, wherein the accumulators function responsive to the movement of the arms so that the gas expands when the tensioning arms are lowered and the actuator is shortened, and the gas is compressed when the actuator is elongated, and the arms are lifted.

Bale wrapping system

A bale wrap includes a wrapping layer configured to wrap around a bale of agricultural product, such that a first portion of the wrapping layer overlaps a second portion of the wrapping layer. Additionally, the bale wrap includes an adhesive layer embedded on or in the wrapping layer and configured to be activated by an adhesive activation mechanism. Activation of the adhesive layer enables the adhesive layer to bond the first portion of the wrapping layer to the second portion of the wrapping layer.

TOWING VEHICLE/BALER COMBINATION, BALER, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMBINATION OR BALER
20260041042 · 2026-02-12 ·

A combination of a tow vehicle and a baler includes a pick-up unit for picking up a crop from the ground and for feeding the crop into a baling unit, which compresses the crop into a bale. The combination includes a control unit and a sensor for capturing an acoustic signal. The control unit is configured to characterize the picking-up of the crop and the compressing of the bale on the basis of a sensor signal from the sensor indicative of the acoustic signal of the baler. The control unit may then control the tow vehicle and/or the baler based on the characterization of the sensor signal.
