Round baling apparatus
A round bale forming apparatus which includes a first bale forming chamber and a second bale forming chamber the second bale forming chamber being positioned rearwardly of the first bale forming chamber; each of the first and second bale forming chambers has components for forming a bale from a crop product; a feeding mechanism which feeds the crop product into the bale forming apparatus in order to form a bale from the crop product; a transfer mechanism for transferring a partially formed bale from the first bale forming chamber into the second bale forming chamber; and a directional mechanism for directing the crop product from the feeding mechanism into the first bale forming chamber or the second bale forming chamber such that a partially formed bale is formable in the first bale forming chamber and a fully formed bale is formable in the second bale forming chamber.
Patch material for repairing a damaged portion of a pressing belt
A patch material for repairing a damaged portion of a pressing belt used on an agricultural round baler includes an operative outer polymeric layer having a first thickness, a mounting layer disposed parallel to the operative outer polymeric layer and having a second thickness being less than the first thickness, and at least one fabric layer disposed between the operative outer polymeric layer and the mounting layer. A plurality of linear outlines is defined on the operative outer polymeric layer at an operative top surface thereof. The linear outlines are configured to define a pattern with a plurality of predefined shapes. The plurality of the predefined shapes is configured to border a conical portion of a connecting opening defined on the operative top surface of the operative outer polymeric layer. The connecting opening extends the operative outer polymeric layer, the fabric layer, and the mounting layer.
MATERIAL WRAP SYSTEM WITH SELF CLEANING FEATURE
A system for wrapping a material around a bale in a baler includes a feed system to direct the material through a feed path. A knife mechanism with a fixed knife and a counter-knife alternately cuts the material, and moves out of the feed path for feed of the material. The feed system includes a roll element configured to direct the material between the fixed knife and the counter-knife when the counter-knife is moved out of the feed path. A cylindrical brush rotates freely and is disposed between the roll element and the knife mechanism, the brush having a cylindrical shape. The brush is configured to remove debris when rotated
Open throat intake for a baler
An open throat intake for a baler, includes a pickup unit with tines for picking up crop material from the ground and carrying the crop material towards a lower roller located across a baler inlet. Above the lower roller is an upper roller both of which include auger fighting on outward sides thereof, which can overlap with the inlet. In use the contra-rotating flightings, by cooperation with a retainer plate, urge material carried from outside edges of the pick up unit toward the baler inlet which is generally narrower than the pick up unit. Gripping ribs provide a compressive in-feed function when large volumes of material are to be processed.
Accumulator system for round baler belt pre-tension
An improved belt tensioning system for an agricultural round baler that increases belt tension to reduce slippage between the belts and the driving rolls during the initial stage of a bale forming cycle when the bale chamber is empty and as the belts are beginning to be rolled. The system includes an accumulator that is pressurized by the tensioning system as a bale is being formed. The accumulator pressure may then be directed to a hydraulic cylinder included in a bale density system to increase tension in the belts after a completed bale is ejected and the bale chamber is being reset for the next bale.
ROUND BALER IMPLEMENT HAVING FORMING BELT PIN WEAR DETECTION SYSTEM
A round baler implement includes a forming belt having a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end coupled together by a retaining pin to secure the forming belt in an endless loop. An image sensor is positioned and operable to capture an image of the retaining pin. A baler controller receives a current image of the retaining pin from the image sensor and determines a wear condition of the retaining pin therefrom. The baler controller may then communicate a notification signal to a communicator providing the wear condition of the retaining pin, thereby notifying user of the condition of the retaining pin so that the user may decide to replace the retaining pin when necessary.
GUIDE MEANS, BALER AND METHOD
A baler for forming round bales includes a wrapping device for wrapping a pressed bale with a wrapping material, a pressing chamber where the pressed bale is formed, a guide apparatus for guiding wrapping material to the pressing chamber, and a guide means for guiding the wrapping material via a region from the wrapping device to the guide apparatus. The guide means is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the guide means substantially bridges the region between the wrapping device and the guide apparatus. In the second position, the guide means at least partially opens up the region therebetween.
Bale Eject Linkage and Methods of Use
A baler ejection system, that may be used with an agricultural harvester, such as a round baler, waste baler, combine, or cotton harvester, uses the motion of a pair of parallel arms that extend transversely from the sidewalls of a bale chamber a set of distinct pivot points. When activated the parallel arms raise to expose an outlet through which the bale may be ejected. A formed bale may become ejected by one or more conveyer belts that exert a rearward force on the bale within the bale chamber.
Yield Monitor For Windrow-Collected Material
Disclosed are methods and systems for determining the amount of material contained in a windrow. In particular embodiments, the methods and systems are applicable to agricultural applications, and in particular to hay yield monitoring. Systems include a remote sensing technology to determine windrow height. Remote sensing methods can include ultrasonic sensors, optical sensors, and the like. Systems can provide real time yield data.
Apparatus and method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed during such chipping activities
The present invention relates generally to wood chippers and baling machines and methods of operation therefor, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed from such chipping activities. The apparatus includes a chipper assembly having a chipping mechanism operable to reduce the trimmed branches to wood chips. Also provided is a bale forming assembly operatively connected to the chipper assembly. The bale forming assembly has a housing and a baling mechanism contained within an interior space of the housing. The housing has an opening defined therein for receiving wood chips from the chipper assembly. The opening provides access to the interior space of the housing. The baling mechanism is operable to form a bale from the wood chips produced by the chipper assembly.
