Bale weight measurement and control system using liftgate
A bale holder is actuated to hold a bale in a lift gate of a baler. Lift gate actuators are then actuated to lift the gate, while it is holding the bale. A gate position sensor senses the position of the lift gate, and a force detector detects a force that is used in order to support the gate in the detected position. Bale weight generation logic then generates a bale weight based on the sensed lift gate position and the detected force. A control signal is generated based on the bale weight.
Round baler having an adjustable width
A round baler may include a frame supported by one or more ground engaging devices, a bale forming chamber including sidewalls spaced apart a distance defining a width of the bale forming chamber, a discharge gate selectively operable between a baling position and a discharge position, and a bale forming apparatus, which forms the round bale in the bale forming chamber. The round baler may include a first set of spacers positioned adjacent at least one of the sidewalls reducing the effective width of the bale forming chamber.
AGRICULTURAL BALER WITH BALE FORMATION CONTROL BASED ON POWER REQUIREMENTS AND USAGE
An agricultural baler includes: a chassis; a coupler configured for connecting to a power source; a bale forming chamber including an apron assembly; an apron tensioning system that controls a baling pressure exerted on a bale forming in the bale forming chamber; a bale release that releases a fully formed bale; and a controller operatively coupled to the apron tensioning system and the bale release. The controller is configured to: set a release size of the fully formed bale; receive a PTO power consumption signal or an available power signal from a tractor controller; determine a maximum available power based on the received signal; compare the maximum available power to a threshold power; and output a control signal to the apron tensioning system to decrease the baling pressure without changing the release size when the maximum available power is at a predetermined power value, relative to the threshold power.
Round baler, combination of an agricultural vehicle with such a baler and method for forming round bales
A round baler includes a variable bale chamber delimited by side walls arranged on a right and a left in a forward direction of travel, at least one forming belt circulating between the side walls, and at least one sensor for detecting a change of position of the forming belt in the direction of one of the side walls, the at least one sensor being directly or indirectly in operative connection with the forming belt.
Baler
A roller for a variable chamber round baler includes an axle configured to be mounted to a mounting element of the baler, a rotary bearing mounted on the axle, and a roller casing supported by the bearing for rotation around the axle. The roller includes a first seal plate adjacent an end of the roller casing mounted in a fixed position relative to the axle and extending radially outwards towards the roller casing, and a second seal plate located between the first seal plate and the bearing mounted for rotation with the roller casing and extending radially inwards towards the axle and located axially inwards from the first seal plate to provide a space between the first and second seal plates. The first seal plate includes an opening in a lower portion through which waste crop material can escape outwards from the space between the first and second seal plates.
CONSTANT TENSION MECHANISM OF TYING NET FOR ROLL BALES
A constant tension mechanism of tying net for roll bales, that allows varying the stretching tension of the material in accordance with different diameters and thus provide a tying tension that allows keeping the geometry of the roll bale throughout time.
ROLL BALES TYING MATERIAL FEEDING MECHANISM
A roll bale tying material feeding mechanism, which allows the feeding or supply of material without this latter suffering deviations and/or alterations in its extension from the feeding source to the baler-compaction chamber, ensuring a constant and suitable tying tension that allows keeping the geometry of the rolls throughout time.
Baling chamber with pivotally mounted conveying unit
A baler baling chamber has a movable chamber part pivotally mounted at a fixed chamber part. Several conveying units convey the bale along a circumferential wall. The baler can be transferred into a bale ejecting mode by pivoting the movable chamber part away from the fixed chamber part. One conveying unit is mounted at the moveable chamber part and adjacent to the fixed chamber part. In a bale forming mode, the adjacent conveying unit engages into a receiving aperture in the fixed chamber part and conveys loose material into the bailing chamber. The adjacent conveying unit can be pivoted away from the fixed chamber part and out of the receiving aperture increasing the aperture for ejecting a bale out of the bale forming chamber as the adjacent conveying unit is pivoted out of the receiving aperture.
Apparatus and method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed during such chipping activities
The present invention relates generally to wood chippers and baling machines and methods of operation therefor, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed from such chipping activities. The apparatus includes a chipper assembly having a chipping mechanism operable to reduce the trimmed branches to wood chips. Also provided is a bale forming assembly operatively connected to the chipper assembly. The bale forming assembly has a housing and a baling mechanism contained within an interior space of the housing. The housing has an opening defined therein for receiving wood chips from the chipper assembly. The opening provides access to the interior space of the housing. The baling mechanism is operable to form a bale from the wood chips produced by the chipper assembly.
