PRINTING DEVICE AND PRINTING METHOD

A printing device that performs printing on a medium includes an inkjet head, a main scan driving unit, a sub scan driving unit, and a control unit, where the control unit sets a sub-scanning movement amount based on a basic movement amount, which is a basic movement amount set according to print conditions, and a value indicating a distance for increasing or decreasing the sub-scanning movement amount in the print conditions set at the time of inputting an input correction value. Furthermore, a storage is further provided, which stores a first correction coefficient used when the basic movement amount is within a first range, and a second correction coefficient used when the basic movement amount is within a second range smaller than the first range, and the control unit sets the sub-scanning movement amount based on the basic movement amount and the calculated correction value.

Recording apparatus and recording method

A recording apparatus is provided for determining a relative moving speed between a recording head and a recording medium based on application amount information and power information corresponding to power for driving a heating element. In a case of the power amount in a first amount, the moving speed is determined as a first speed in a case where an application amount is equal to a predetermined amount, and the moving speed is determined as a speed higher than the first speed in a case where the application amount is smaller than the predetermined amount. In a case of the power amount in a second amount smaller than the first amount, the moving speed is determined as a speed higher than the first speed in a case where the application amount is equal to the predetermined amount.

Ink jet recording apparatus

An ink jet recording apparatus of a line-recording-head type includes one or more recording heads using the same ink and performs recording of an image by conveying a recording medium using multiple passes through a recording region of the recording head while the recording medium is repeatedly conveyed backward and forward to speed up recording and improve image quality. A recording head is controlled to provide that an amount of ink applied to a recording medium in a case where the recording medium is conveyed at a first speed is smaller than an amount of ink applied to the recording medium in a case where the recording medium is conveyed at a second speed higher than the first speed in both of a case where the recording medium is accelerated and a case where the recording medium is decelerated.

A recording apparatus can convey a recording sheet such as a long sheet with high precision without decreasing productivity even if a back tension occurs during conveyance of the recording sheet. The recording apparatus sets a first acceleration period in which the conveying speed is increased up to a first predetermined speed before a leading end of the roll paper reaches a detecting position of the leading end detecting sensor with the roll paper being nipped by the upstream side nip roller and the conveying belt. Further, the recording apparatus sets a first constant speed period in which the conveying speed is kept constant at the first predetermined speed before the leading end of the roll paper reaches the detecting position until the leading end of the roll paper is nipped by the downstream side nip roller and the conveying belt. Furthermore, the recording apparatus sets a second acceleration period in which the conveying speed is increased up to a second predetermined speed before the recording by the recording head is started after the leading end of the roll paper is nipped by the downstream side nip roller and the conveying belt.

BUFFER UNIT

Certain examples described herein relate to a buffer unit for a printing system. In certain cases, a measurement device is used to obtain measurement data representing an optical property of a printed image on a substrate. A buffer unit receives the substrate downstream of the measurement device and places the substrate in a queue. In certain cases, a controller determines, based on the measurement data, whether the printed image comprises a defect. Responsive to determining that the printed image does not comprise a defect, the controller causes the substrate to be moved from the buffer unit to an output stack. Responsive to determining that the printed image comprises a defect, the controller causes the substrate to not be moved to the output stack.

The disclosure discloses a printer includes a controller. The controller performs a first feed control process, a temperature-difference calculation process, and a first printing speed determination process. In the first feed control process, in a state where an energizing device does not perform energization to the heating element, the driving device is controlled to perform non-energization feeding while causing a thermal head to contact a print-receiving medium. In the temperature-difference calculation process, during execution of the non-energization feeding, a first deviation between two of the head temperatures which are respectively detected by the first temperature detecting device at different timings is calculated. In the first printing speed determination process, the printing speed is determined on the basis of the first deviation.
