The full-cutting assembly includes a first cutting blade and a facing part to cut a tape fully through in a direction of thickness of the tape by rotating a first arm about a first shaft. The half-cutting assembly includes a second cutting blade and a supporting base to cut the tape partly in the direction of thickness by rotating a second arm about a second shaft. The cam is rotatable bidirectionally about a third shaft and has a cam face, on which a first pressing part to press the first arm and a second pressing part to press the second arm are arranged. A distance between the cam face and the second arm is smaller than or equal to a distance between the cam face and the first arm.

A printing device includes a printing mechanism, a first member, a second member and a RFID. The printing mechanism is configured to perform printing. The holder retains therein a consumable goods and is provided with a RFID. The holder is contactable with the portion of the first member when the holder is attached to the receiving portion. The second member is movable relative to the first member. The RFID reader is provided at the second member and is configured to read data stored in the RFID.

Cutting device and printer

A cutting device, having a supporting base, a cutter section, a protrusive part, is provided. The supporting base has a first area, in which a tape is placeable, and a second area on a surface thereof. The surface is formed of a resin coating layer in the first area alone between the first area and the second area. The cutter section has a blade and is movable to approach and separate from the surface. The protrusive part protrudes from the cutter section in a direction, toward which an edge of the blade points. When the cutter section approaches the surface of the supporting base, with the protrusive part contacting the surface of the supporting base in the second area, the blade cuts the tape located between the surface of the supporting base in the first area and the blade partly in a direction of thickness of the tape.

A housing is provided with a sheet ejection port for discharging sheet that passed through a printing unit upward. A cutting unit is arranged between the printing unit and the sheet ejection port and cuts the sheet by either a method of cutting the sheet in the entire width direction or a method of leaving the central portion of the sheet in the width direction. First protrusions and second protrusions protruding from the inner periphery of the sheet ejection port are provided at a plurality of locations along the width direction of the sheet. The first protrusion faces a first surface of the sheet and the second protrusion faces a second surface, which is the back surface of the first surface of the sheet. The first protrusion and the second protrusion are provided at positions deviated from each other in the sheet width direction and bend the sheet in an undulating shape in the width direction therebetween. Further, protrusion height of at least one of the first protrusions and the second protrusions in the central portion in the width direction of the sheet is lower than protrusion heights of the first protrusions and the second protrusions in other regions.
