An animal restraint for dogs that maintains four points of contact to safely, securely, and humanely restrain the dog. The system includes a platform and four poles that can support the animal. The forward poles support a cross shoulder bar which prevents the dog's forward from rising. A belly strap or bar may be used under the belly of the animal to prevent the rear or bending of hind legs. An optional over strap may be used to loop around the animal's rear. The animal's leash may be mounted to the device, preferably at the top and center of the shoulder bar. The device may be adjustable in height and rotation of the poles. The system may be collapsible to allow for storage.

An animal harness may include a collar coupler and a back strap coupled therewith and extending toward hind legs of the animal. A strap coupler may be coupled with the back strap. A first belly strap may be coupled with the strap coupler and with a first attachment member. A second belly strap may be coupled through an opening of the strap coupler and slidable therethrough and may be coupled with a second attachment member. A leash coupler may be coupled with the second belly strap or integrally formed therewith. The first and second attachment members may be secured together so the first and second belly straps form a loop around a waist or belly area of the animal. The loop may tighten around the animal, due to the second belly strap being slidable through the opening of the strap coupler, in response to a pulling force.

A system, comprising a harness configured to be releasably attached to a portion of an animal; a retractable leash assembly comprising at least one structural feature; a receptacle coupled with the harness, the receptacle comprising at least one structural feature; wherein the at least one structural feature of the retractable leash assembly is configured to be releasably mated with the at least one structural feature of the receptacle upon application of a force on the retractable leash assembly causing at least a portion of the retractable leash assembly to be releasably mated with the at least one structural feature of the receptacle.

A pet carrying backpack includes a bottom panel, a front panel, a rear panel, a right-side panel, and a left-side panel connected to form a bag with an open top. The open top includes a collar forming an opening which allows a head of an animal within the bag to protrude therefrom. The collar may be adjustable. Shoulder straps are disposed on and extend from the front panel. Paw holes are disposed on a front of the backpack body above the shoulder straps and below the collar. An animal mobility device to be used with an animal who lacks full functional use of its rear legs, providing the animal with two modes of operation, with the first mode of operation being active, whereby the animal propels itself by its front legs while having its rear portion supported by the device, and with the second mode of operation being passive, whereby a human operator propels the device while the entirety of the animal is supported by the device.

A system and associated methods use an animal harness attached to an animal to improve security at a location (e.g., a home, office, warehouse, etc.). The animal harness collects health status data of the animal, and the health status data is processed using one or more algorithms that detect changes in one or more of excitement, agitation, stress, and/or anxiety in the animal. These changes are interpreted, using a behavioral model of the animal, to determine whether the animal is witnessing a security event at the location, and when the health status data indicates the security event, the system may generate an alert. The behavioral model may be updated over time to improve performance of the algorithms to detect security events.
