Printer and control method of a printer
Provided is a printer having: a carriage configured to carry and move a printhead; a camera attached to the carriage and configured to photograph an image printed by the printhead; an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an installation position of the camera; and a processor configured to control to move the carriage to a position of a predetermined specific mark, photograph the specific mark by the camera, and based on a photographed image of the specific mark, adjust an installation position of the camera by the adjustment mechanism.
SEGMENTED OVJP PRINT BAR
Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide a print bar for organic vapor jet (OVJP) deposition is provided that includes a plurality of n print head segments, where each of the plurality of print head segments may have an OVJP print head. The print bar may include a plurality of distance sensors, where each of the plurality of distance sensors may be configured to measure a distance between a substrate disposed below the print bar and a portion of at least one of the print head segments. The print bar may include a plurality of not more than n+1 actuators configured to adjust at least one of a position and an orientation of one or more of the plurality of print head segments based upon one or more distances between the substrate and the print bar measured by one or more of the plurality of distance sensors.
Document imaging system and method for imaging documents to convey documents without entraining documents
A system is provided for processing documents. In particular, the system incorporates a feeder for feeding documents to a device for further processing of the documents. For instance, the system finds particular application in the field of document imaging in which a variety of documents of varying sizes and orientation are to be fed to an imaging system, such as a document scanner. The system may provide a sorting station that receives documents from a workstation and sorts the documents to a plurality of sort locations. The system may export the image data for the documents to a fileserver so that a remote operator can provide instructions for the processing of the documents so that the documents can be subsequently processed according to the instructions provided by the operator.
LIQUID EJECTION HEAD
A liquid ejection head including a recording element substrate configured with a liquid ejection port, the liquid ejection head including: a first positioning member configured with a first positioning part including a recess portion opening in a direction of liquid ejection; and a second positioning member configured with a second positioning part, which includes a groove portion opening in the direction of liquid ejection and extending towards the first positioning member, and a third positioning part, which includes a flat plane portion substantially parallel to the recording element substrate.
Liquid discharge apparatus, liquid curing method, and computer program product
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head to discharge liquid to a medium to form liquid surface on the medium, an irradiator to radiate active energy rays onto the liquid surface, a carriage mounting the liquid discharge head and the irradiator, a scanner to scan the carriage in a main scanning direction, a height adjuster to adjust an irradiation distance between the irradiator and the liquid surface by relatively moving the carriage and the medium, a conveyor to move the medium and the carriage relatively in a sub-scanning direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction, and control circuitry to control the irradiator to irradiate the liquid surface with the active energy rays while scanning the carriage in the main scanning direction.
DROPLET DEPOSITION HEAD ALIGNMENT SYSTEM
A droplet deposition head including a datum surface arrangement for alignment of the head relative to an external mounting component in either a vertical mounting mode in which the head is held against a vertical mounting plate or a horizontal mounting mode where the head is held against a horizontal mounting plate. The datum surface arrangement comprising at least seven datum surfaces (x1; y1, y2, y3; z1, z2, z3) provided on the head, wherein five of the seven datum surfaces are provided for alignment in both vertical and horizontal mounting modes, and wherein a sixth datum surface (z3) is provided for alignment exclusively in said horizontal mounting mode and a seventh datum surface (y3) is provided for alignment exclusively in said vertical mounting mode.
REPLACEABLE PRINTING SUBASSEMBLY
A replaceable printing subassembly is disclosed. The replaceable printing subassembly includes a printbar. A fluid delivery system including a pump is fluidically coupled to the printbar. A frame is coupled to the fluid delivery system. The replaceable printing subassembly also includes a lift mechanism having an actuator to selectively move the printbar with respect to the frame.
Actuation mechanism for accurately controlling distance in OVJP printing
A device for use in organic vapor jet printing (OVJP) and similar arrangements includes a print head moveable in more than one degree of freedom with sufficient thermal insulation that there is little to no movement in the Z direction. One or more sensors may be used to monitor and adjust the distance between the substrate and the print head.
INKJET PRINTING STRUCTURE
An inkjet printing structure includes a crossbeam having a front guide rail and a rear guide rail provided on its bottom surface; a connecting block mounted with a first slider fitting with the front guide rail and the rear guide rail; a first linear motor arranged between the crossbeam and the connecting block; and a lifting device connected to the bottom surface of the connecting block, which includes an inner frame, an outer frame, a third drive mechanism, lifting mechanisms and a synchronizing mechanism. The inner frame moves relative to the outer frame through lifting mechanisms connected to the synchronizing mechanism. A left guide rail and a right guide rail are provided on the connecting block with a second slider installed on the outer frame to cooperate with the left and right guide rails, and a second drive mechanism is provided between the connecting block and the lifting device.
Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: an apparatus main body; a plurality of liquid ejecting heads that have a nozzle-formed surface; a unit base to which the plurality of liquid ejecting heads are fixed; and a lifting-lowering mechanism that is fixed to the apparatus main body and causes a position of the nozzle-formed surface to be shifted with respect to the apparatus main body. The lifting-lowering mechanisms are disposed in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the plurality of liquid ejecting heads are aligned, in an in-plane direction of the nozzle-formed surface.
