Monitoring device, image recordation monitoring method, and printer
A monitoring device is configured to monitor image recordation by a recorder using a recording material supplied from a first cartridge and a second cartridge. the monitoring device includes a memory and a controller. The controller is configured to obtain number-of-sheet information indicating a number of sheets on which the image recordation has been performed, first consumption amount information indicating a consumption amount of a recording material consumed from the first cartridge, and second consumption amount information indicating a consumption amount of a recording material consumed from the second cartridge, determine ratio information indicating a ratio of the recording material consumed from the second cartridge to a total consumption amount of the recording material consumed from the first and second cartridges based on the obtained first and second consumption amount information, and store the obtained number-of-sheet information and the determined ratio information in the memory.
Printer consumable chip upgrade system and method, and consumable container
The present disclosure relates to a printer consumable chip upgrade system and method, and a consumable container. The printer consumable chip upgrade system includes an interface module (34) and a consumable chip (104), wherein the interface module (34) is used for receiving connection information and/or an upgrade instruction and transmitting the connection information and/or the upgrade instruction to the consumable chip (104); and the consumable chip (104) is used for establishing a wireless connection between the consumable chip (104) and an external upgrade device (106) on the basis of the connection information, and/or executing an upgrade operation on the basis of the upgrade instruction.
LOGIC CIRCUITRY PACKAGE
A replaceable print apparatus component includes a print material reservoir, a print material within the reservoir having a first print material level, and a logic circuitry package including an interface and a logic circuit. The logic circuit may receive, via the interface, a first calibration parameter and receive, via the interface, a first request corresponding to a first sensor ID associated with a second print material level above the first print material level. The logic circuit may transmit, via the interface, a first digital value in response to the first request and receive, via the interface, a second calibration parameter less than the first calibration parameter. The logic circuit may receive, via the interface, a second request corresponding to the first sensor ID, and transmit, via the interface, a second digital value in response to the second request. The second digital value is less than the first digital value.
Printing system, printing control program, and print producing method
A printing system includes a media table on which a medium is placed, a printing mechanism configured to perform printing while moving relatively to the medium placed on the media table, and a control section configured to determine presence or absence of possibility of double printing in the same position of one medium and perform warning when the possibility is present.
INKJET PRINTER HAVING TRANSMISSION ANTENNA CONNECTED TO CONTROL BOARD PROVIDED IN CASING AND RECEPTION ANTENNA PROVIDED IN CARRIAGE
An inkjet printer includes: a casing; a first control board; a carriage; a head; a transmission antenna; and a reception antenna. The first control board is configured to reciprocate in a scanning direction crossing a conveying direction of a recording medium. The head is mounted in the carriage and has a plurality of nozzles. The transmission antenna is connected to the first control board. The transmission antenna is configured to transmit, through near field communication, an ejection signal for controlling ejection of ink from the plurality of nozzles. The reception antenna is provided in the carriage. The reception antenna is configured to receive the ejection signal from the transmission antenna. The near field communication has a communication range smaller than a size of the casing.
MEDIA IDENTIFICATION
There is provided a print apparatus and a media roll for the print apparatus, comprising a media identifier located on an end of a core section of the media roll. A type of media loaded into the print apparatus is determined by sensing the media identifier on the media roll using a non-contact sensor to scan the end of the core section.
COST GENERATION FOR A COMMON PRINT SUBSTANCE SUPPLY
Examples for cost generation for a common print substance supply are described herein. In some examples, signals indicative of an amount of print substance consumed by a plurality of printing devices are received at a computing device. Signals indicative of a cost corresponding to the amount of print substance consumed by each printing device of the plurality of printing devices are generated at a processor of the computing device based on the received signals. The cost is also generated based on a device identifier, a customer identifier, a print media identifier, or a combination thereof. The signals indicative of the cost for each printing device are transmitted.
Server, printer, and program for performing RFID communication
A server, which is capable of communicating with a printer or printers, each performing radio frequency identification (RFID) communication with a RFID tag, contains: a record unit configured to record, in a memory device, printer identification information for identifying a printer, tag identification information for identifying a RFID tag, and communication parameters with which the printer performs RFID communication, in an associated manner; a first obtaining unit configured to obtain, from a printer, printer identification information and tag identification information read by the printer; an identifying unit configured to identify communication parameters associated with the printer identification information and the tag identification information obtained by the first obtaining unit; and a first transmission unit configured to transmit the communication parameters identified by the identifying unit, to the printer.
