Rectangular Baler with Improved Stuffer Mechanism
A rectangular baler including a baling chamber, an intake duct, a pick-up mechanism for picking up crop material and introducing it into the intake duct, and a stuffer mechanism to selectively execute a packer stroke to advance crop material partially along the intake duct and a stuffer stroke to transfer the crop material accumulated in the intake duct into the baling chamber. The stuffer mechanism includes a tine bar extending between two stuffer assemblies at each side of the baler. Each stuffer assembly includes a first stuffer arm connected at a first pivot point to a first crank arm of a first drive mechanism, a second stuffer arm connected at a second pivot point to a second crank arm of a second drive mechanism, and a coupling plate pivotally mounted around a stationary pivot point. The coupling plate couples the first stuffer arm with the second stuffer arm.

Apparatus and Method for Chipping Tree Branches and the Like and Baling Wood Chips Formed During Such Chipping Activities
The present invention relates generally to wood chippers and baling machines and methods of operation therefor, and more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for chipping tree branches and the like and baling wood chips formed from such chipping activities. The apparatus includes a chipper assembly having a chipping mechanism operable to reduce the trimmed branches to wood chips. Also provided is a bale forming assembly operatively connected to the chipper assembly. The bale forming assembly has a housing and a baling mechanism contained within an interior space of the housing. The housing has an opening defined therein for receiving wood chips from the chipper assembly. The opening provides access to the interior space of the housing. The baling mechanism is operable to form a bale from the wood chips produced by the chipper assembly.
HYDRAULIC MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An electrohydraulic system for a work machine includes a pump, a motor fluidly coupled to the pump, a subassembly driven by the motor, and a rate-control valve fluidly coupled to the pump and the motor. The rate-control valve is movable through a range of positions. A present speed of the motor is proportional to a present position of the rate-control valve. The present position of the rate-control valve is adjustable by varying a current supplied to the rate-control valve. The supply of current to the rate-control valve is adjusted based on the difference between the present speed of the motor and a target speed of the motor.
Cutting device for agricultural harvesting machines with preselecting device for preselecting groups of cutting knives
A cutting device for agricultural harvesters has a conveying channel and pivotably supported cutting knives arranged in a row on a frame. The cutting knives project in the cutting position into the conveying channel. A conveying member with conveying tines, rotatingly driven about a horizontal axis, interacts with the cutting knives for comminuting crop. Individual adjusting devices, each associated with one cutting knife, yieldingly support the cutting knives in the cutting position. A knife switching device is provided to move the cutting knives from the inoperative position into the cutting position. With a preselecting device a desired group of cutting knives can be selected that is pivoted into the cutting position upon activation of the knife switching device. The preselecting device is activatable with reduced force expenditure by eliminating resistances, caused by adjusting and connecting devices of the knife switching device, when preselecting the desired group of cutting knives.
