A plug for an air vent which fits into the top aperture of the air vent prevents cement flowing into the vent when a concrete floor is laid. The vent has a peripheral protrusion and a top flange. The plug protrusion snap fits into a concave groove in the top of the vent aperture. The flange extends upward an outward from the vent top so the laid concrete floor has a slot communicating with the vent and the vent top is installed below the floor and thus cannot be easily damaged by storing and removal of produce.

A clamping apparatus for clamping a sheet to a supporting structure of an agricultural storage apparatus. The clamping apparatus includes a first clamping section and at least one second clamping section and is attached to a wall of the supporting structure. The, or each, second clamping section includes a lever section and a catch section pivotably attached to the lever section. In use, a section of the sheet is clamped between the first clamping section and the catch section of the, or each, second clamping section thereby securing the sheet to the supporting structure.

Facilities for storing large quantities of potatoes, other tubers, vegetables, produce, and/or other crops are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a facility configured in accordance with the present technology circulates air from a pile of potatoes into one or more ceiling cavities above the potatoes to warm ceiling panels. Aspects of this embodiment can reduce undesirable water formation on the potatoes.
