A PROCESS OF INCORPORATING EMBOSSED VISUAL EFFECT/SECURITY FEATURE ON A FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE AND SUBSTRATE/PACKAGE MADE THEREFROM
The present invention describes the use of embossed patterns for producing striking visual patterns and/or security features on the package surface such as holographic images, 3-dimensional patterns, optical patterns, Fresnel lenses, sterling lenses or any similar optical features in registered or unregistered manner on a specified portion on a web, sheet or package. The present invention eliminates intermediate products and processes such as manufacturing and using stamping foils avoiding wastage of carrier films. This result in high speed operation with accurate registration for packaging substrate in web roll form or in sheet form.
FLEXIBLE PRINTED MATERIAL
Described herein is a process for preparing a flexible printed material. The process may comprise providing a flexible print substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the print substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing an ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the print substrate; and depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed ink composition disposed on the primer such that the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition is crosslinked and the primer resin of the primer is crosslinked.
ELECTROSTATICALLY ASSISTED PRINTING OF A PACKAGING LAMINATE FOR DIMENSIONALLY STABLE FOOD CONTAINERS INCLUDING THE FOLDED PACKAGING LAMINATE
The invention relates to a process including, as steps a) provision of a sheetlike composite (200) including, as mutually superposed layers, from an external surface (201) of the sheetlike composite to an internal surface (202) of the sheetlike composite, i) a carrier layer, ii) a barrier layer, and iii) a polymeric internal layer, wherein the sheetlike composite (200) has a first electrical charge; b) provision of a first component (300) including a first component surface (301), wherein the first component surface (301) includes a plurality of recesses (302), wherein the recesses (302) include a composition (303) including a colourant, wherein the first component (300) moves in a first direction (304), wherein the first component (300) has a further electrical charge; c) increase of the absolute magnitude of the difference between the first electrical charge and the further electrical charge; and d) bringing the external surface (201) of the sheetlike composite into contact with the first component surface (301). The invention further relates to a printed sheetlike composite; to a container precursor, and also to a container, in each case including the printed sheetlike composite; to a device (500) for the printing of a sheetlike composite; and to a use of the device for the printing of a sheetlike composite.
Method for printing onto a nonwoven substrate
The present invention provides ink and coating compositions for printing on non-woven substrates or fabrics. Advantageously, the compositions of the invention can be used either as one component (1K) or two component (2K) ink systems. The compositions of the invention exhibit improved properties, such as ink adhesion ratings, as shown by a rub test, compared to commercially available inks designed to be printed on non-woven substrates.
SYSTEM FOR PRINTING ON BALLOONS
The present invention provides a system for printing on balloons where the priming of the balloons to receive print is substantially free of bubbles, the system comprising locally applying to a balloon external surface or to a balloon precursor sheet in a defined, limited area one of: a) a pre-shaped self adhesive label comprising a layer of primer that is adhesive-backed; b) a coating of primer that will be formed into the external surface area of a balloon wherein the remaining external surface area of the balloon is coated with a primer repellent material; c) a coating of primer by a silk screen process wherein the applied primer is subjected to a partial vacuum to draw air out from the coating and/or is subjected to the action of a roller or scraper that is held or pressed lightly against the coating to squeeze air from the coating.
TRANSFERRING METHOD FOR IN-MOLD ROLLER PROCESS
A transferring method for an in-mold roller process is provided. The transferring method includes the following steps. A plastic film is provided. A transfer ink and a printing roller are provided. A 3D pattern is formed on a surface of the printing roller. An ink pattern is formed on the plastic film by using the printing roller and the transfer ink, so as to form a transfer film. The transfer film is placed and positioned in a mold. The mold is filled with a structural material to form a structural member and cause the ink pattern to be transferred from the plastic film to a surface of the structural member. Finally, a solidification treatment is performed on the ink pattern.
