ANTI-PULL LEASH METHOD
20210037790 · 2021-02-11 ·

A method for leashing an animal is provided, including steps of attaching a quick-release mechanism to a collar on an animal, and encircling the animal's abdomen by passing a handle end of the leash through an intermediate loop such that the leash forms a constrictive loop around the animal's abdomen. The leash includes a collar end formed from a loop of a first flexible web that captures the quick-release mechanism, and a handle end formed from a loop of a second flexible web. The intermediate loop is between the collar end and the handle end and formed of a third flexible web. The first flexible web overlaps the third flexible web and the overlapping portions are bonded together at a collar end of the intermediate loop. The second flexible web overlaps the third flexible web and the overlapping portions are bonded together at a handle end of the intermediate loop.

An animal tethering assembly for a pet includes a rod, which has a first end that is pointed. A handle is coupled to a second end of the rod and. A bar is coupled to and extends bidirectionally from the rod to define a lower segment of the rod. The bar is configured to position a foot of a user to apply a force to the rod to drive the lower segment of the rod into a substrate. A first terminus of a lead is coupled to the rod proximate to the bar, positioning a second terminus of the lead to couple to a collar that is coupled to an animal. A pair of hooks is coupled singly to the rod proximate to the first terminus of the lead and the second end of the rod. The hooks are positioned to loopedly position the lead to stow the lead.

Buckle for collar and leash
10925260 · 2021-02-23 · ·

Disclosed is a buckle for an animal collar and/or leash that is easy to open and close, but at the same time does not open without user intervention. Illustratively, the inventive apparatus comprises a buckle that includes a first clasp member and a second clasp member that form a clasp. Pressure is applied and maintained at the second clasp member to transition the clasp from a closed position to an open position, wherein the second clasp member rotates around a hinge. As the buckle is easy to open and close, the user can conveniently attach the collar or leash to the animal and remove the collar or leash from the animal when it is no longer needed, thus preventing irritation of the animal and build-up of dirt and/or odors. The single-handed operation allows the user to attach and remove the collar or leash efficiently and with minimal effort.

LEASH WITH FLEXIBLE BAG DISPENSER POCKET AND STOWABLE CARRYING POUCH
20210045359 · 2021-02-18 ·

An example device includes a flexible bag dispenser pocket for use with a leash for a pet, and an opening formed in the flexible bag dispenser pocket. The opening is closed in a default state, and widens when opposite sides of the flexible bag dispenser pocket are squeezed toward each other. The device also includes an attachment for attaching the flexible bag dispenser pocket to the leash. At least one waste bag is inserted into the flexible bag dispenser pocket and can be removed from the flexible bag dispenser pocket by pulling the waste bag through the opening. In an example, a stowable carrying pouch for carrying used waste bags may also be provided as part of the device. A handle of the carrying pouch may be looped around the leash and the dispenser pocket may serve as a stop to keep the carrying pouch from sliding down the leash.

COMBINATION ANIMAL HARNESS AND LEASH WITH METHOD

An animal-harness includes a line, two crimps along the line, and a ring. The line is formed at one end. The two parallel lines formed by the bight are crimped together by both crimps. The two crimps are spaced apart, and the lines therebetween form a gap. Through this gap, the line may be passed through to form a loop. The line of the bight may pass through the ring. This ring is large enough for the long end of the line to pass through it as well, so that another loop may be formed. Thusly, in use, two loops or formed. One loop may be passed around an animal collar region, and another around an animal girth, to form a secure and safe harness around the animal. The remaining length of the line is available to be used as a leash.

Systems and methods are provided for integrated article dispensers for leashes which provide greater handling and responsiveness. One embodiment is an apparatus is in the form of an article dispenser that includes a first end for coupling with a first tensile member, a second end for coupling with the second tensile member, and a rigid housing between the first end and the second end. The rigid housing defines an internal volume for storing articles, and that further defines an opening. In response to the article dispenser bearing a threshold amount of tension, a centroid of the article dispenser aligns within a threshold distance of being collinear with a force that generates the tension. While the centroid of the article dispenser is within the threshold distance of being collinear, rotation of the system about an axis of the forcer applies less than a threshold torque to the tensile members.

Pet Collar and Leash Storage Apparatus
20210045355 · 2021-02-18 ·

A storage apparatus for a pet collar and a pet leash wearable by a pet may be described as an annular sheath that includes an inner base component, and first and second walls that, together with the inner base component, define a channel in which a collar for a pet, and an attached leash, can be stored. Particular embodiments provide an improved apparatus that is snag-free, provides for convenient and facile storage (of collar and leash) and facile re-storage of an extended/removed leash. Side walls may be elastically biased towards each other to help secure a stored collar (and leash) within a channel of the sheath. Particular embodiments may include, inter alia, collar unbuckling facilitators and/or a band located at a sheath separation site.

Slip Leash

A slip leash is disclosed. In one embodiment, an adjustable cord stop receives a lead therethrough. A sleeve member is at one end. A sliding ring member is pivotally connected to the sleeve member. The sliding ring member has an opening for accepting the lead therethrough. The sliding ring member forms a slipping loop. The sliding ring member has first and second ring portions distally extending thereapart in a planar curve from the sleeve member. Third and fourth ring portions respectively converge from the first and second ring portions to an end portion and form a union therewith. The end portion of the sliding ring member forms a point. In use, the sliding ring member points to the handler to indicate the slip leash has been placed on the dog correctly.
