Linerless record material
The invention describes a composition and method of providing an improved recording material, such as an ink receptive recording material or thermally responsive record material useful for linerless labels. The record material comprises a support having provided thereon on one surface an adhesive material, and on at least one other surface, an ink receptive coating or a heat sensitive imaging coating. The method comprises applying to a first surface a first layer of a coating of an ink receptive material or of a heat sensitive color-forming composition comprising a binder material and a substantially colorless dye precursor and an acidic developer material in substantially contiguous relationship. The adhesive is heat activated. The record material exhibits substantially no tack at 23 C., 40% relative humidity when pressure is applied, however develops high peel strength (300 grams/inch) upon application of 7 mJ/mm.sup.2 to 13 mJ/mm.sup.2 of heat energy.
Pressure sensitive adhesive particle and method of producing printed matter
A pressure sensitive adhesive particle includes a styrene resin; and a (meth)acrylate resin, wherein the (meth)acrylate resin contains two kinds of (meth)acrylates as a polymerization component in which the weight proportion of the (meth)acrylate to the total polymerization components is 90% by weight or more, and has two glass transition points in which a difference between the lowest glass transition temperature and the highest glass transition temperature is 30 C. or higher.
Unprinted inkjet-printable fillable pouches and methods for producing and printing said pouches
The present invention is directed to an unprinted inkjet-printable fillable pouch made of an unprinted inkjet-printable film including (a) a multilayer polymer film including a base layer (a1) and a sealing layer (a2) which is the inner layer of the pouch and (b) at least one ink-receiving layer as the outer layer deposited on the multilayer polymer film (a) from an aqueous coating composition including (b1) a polymeric binder, (b2) fine inorganic particles, and (b3) coarse inorganic and/or organic particles. Also provided is a method for producing the unprinted pouches on a pouch making machine as well as a method for printing the pouches, preferably in a single pass inkjet printing process. The printed pouch is ideal to be filled with food, pet food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and/or personal care products.
Unprinted electrophotographically printable fillable pouches and methods for producing and printing said pouches
The present invention is directed to an unprinted electrophotographically printable fillable pouch made of an unprinted electrophotographically printable film including (a) a multilayer polymer film including a base layer (a1) and a sealing layer (a2) which is the inner layer of the pouch and (b) at least one toner-receiving layer as the outer layer deposited on the multilayer polymer film (a) from an aqueous coating composition including (b1) a polymeric binder, (b2) fine inorganic particles, and (b3) coarse inorganic and/or organic particles. Also provided is a method for producing the unprinted pouches on a pouch making machine as well as a method for printing the pouches in an electrophotographic printing process. The printed pouch is ideal to be filled with food, pet food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and/or personal care product.
