The invention produces a magnetic receptive polymer film with properties that will adhere to magnets by incorporating magnetic receptive particles in the formulation of the extruded or casted film. Furthermore, by use of the co-extrusion technique, the invention produce a print media in the form of a multilayered polymer film including a magnetic receptive core layer for adhering the film to magnets, and one or more layers attached to either one or both sides of the core layer, wherein at least one outermost surface of the layers is absent or substantially absent of ferromagnetic material and suitable to accept printing.

METHOD FOR VARNISHING SUBSTRATES, AND VARNISHED SUBSTRATES

A method of producing a printed product, wherein a formulation for production of a first layer as sealing layer is applied to the substrate and the formulation has at least one monomer, oligomer or prepolymer having at least one crosslinkable functional group. Subsequently, the first layer is cured and a second layer is applied at least to regions of the first layer, wherein the second layer has a coherent surface in the printed regions. Further, a printed product having a substrate, a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer and the second layer comprise an organic crosslinked lacquer and have a coherent surface, and wherein the first layer is transparent and has a layer thickness in the range from 1 to 10 μm. The second layer has been applied at least to regions of the first layer, such that the first layer is disposed between the substrate and the second layer.

PRINTABLE FABRIC

A fabric includes a reinforcement material and a layer disposed adjacent to the reinforcement material including a fluoropolymer and an elastomer. The fabric can be an architectural fabric included in an architectural assembly.

Print media with a top coating

In one example, a print medium includes pigment particles sized less than a hundred nanometers and frictional control additives. An undercoating is disposed between the base material and top coating. The undercoat includes a first sub-layer comprising a pigment fixative agent and a second sub-layer comprising a dye fixative agent. The top coating forms a protective and low friction coating over the undercoating.

THERMOSENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIALS CONTAINING CHELATING AGENTS

The present invention relates to thermal recording materials comprising (in order): a support (base) layer; one or more “undercoat” layers; a thermal layer (thermosensitive coloring layer); and one or more “protective” layers, wherein the thermal recording material contains an aminocarboxylic and/or phosphorus-based chelating agent.

The thermal (thermosensitive) recording materials of the invention show enhanced plasticizer resistance and/or preprint uniformity.

TAPE FOR LABEL WRITER

To prevent an ink from discoloring and an ink from remaining when a tape for label writer using a transparent synthetic resin film which is colorized by an ink layer is peeled off from an adherend.

A tape for label writer being composed of: (i) the tape for label writer having a layer structure including at least a process layer, substrate layer, ink layer, barrier layer, and adhesive layer in this order; (ii) the substrate layer being a synthetic resin film; and (iii) the ink layer including one adhesive resin selected from the group including polyurethane resin, acrylic resin and polyester resin, and a pigment.

Fabric print medium

A fabric print medium comprising a fabric base substrate; a primary coating composition with a polymeric binder and filler particles applied to, at least, one side of the fabric base substrate; an image-receiving coating composition with a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network applied over the primary coating composition; and a barrier layer comprising a water-repellent agent and a physical gelling compound. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.

A method and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry colourants on a surface of a panel, bonding a part of the colourants with a binder and removing the non-bonded colourants from the surface. The method of forming a digital print on a surface of a panel includes displacing the panel under a digital drop application head, applying a liquid binder with the digital drop application head on the surface; applying colourants on the liquid binder and the surface; bonding a part of the colourants to the surface with the liquid binder; removing non-bonded colourants from the surface such that a digital print is formed by the bonded colourants; and applying heat and pressure on the panel, the surface and the bonded colorants such that the colourants are permanently bonded to the surface.
