A print medium can include a cellulose-based paper substrate with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The first surface can be treated with an electrically charged treatment layer. An ink-absorbing layer can be positioned on the electrically charged treatment layer. The ink-absorbing layer can include a polymeric binder and surface-activated fumed silica particles. The surface-activated fumed silica particles can include fumed silica particles that are surface-activated with charged multivalent aluminum salt and organosilane reagent. In further detail, an ink-receiving layer can be positioned on the ink-absorbing layer. The ink-receiving layer can include amorphous silica particles, alumina particles, or a combination thereof.

Pressure-responsive particles include pressure-responsive base particles and inorganic oxide particles, in which the pressure-responsive base particles contain a styrene-based resin which contains styrene and other vinyl monomers as polymerization components and a (meth)acrylic acid ester-based resin which contains at least two kinds of (meth)acrylic acid esters as polymerization components and in which amass ratio of the (meth)acrylic acid esters to all polymerization components is 90% by mass or higher, a liberation rate of the inorganic oxide particles is 10% by mass or higher and 40% by mass or lower, the pressure-responsive particles have at least two glass transition temperatures, and a difference between a lowest glass transition temperature and a highest glass transition temperature is 30° C. or higher.

A fabric print medium can include a woven fabric substrate, a first barrier layer on an imaging side of the woven fabric substrate where the first barrier layer includes first barrier layer binder and first barrier layer flame retardant, a primer layer on the first barrier layer wherein the primer layer includes primer layer binder and primer layer pigment filler, an imaging layer on the primer layer where the imaging layer includes imaging layer film-forming binder and where the first barrier layer, the primer layer, and the imaging layer have a combined thickness from 10 μm to 70 μm, and a non-woven support layer on a back side of the woven fabric substrate.

Coating formulation for digital printing media

The present invention relates to a coating formulation for digital printing media comprising a polymeric binder and a solid metal complex, wherein said solid metal complex comprises (i) a divalent or trivalent metal cation and (ii) a polydentate ligand. The invention further relates to a method for preparing the inventive coating formulation, to a digital printing medium comprising the inventive coating and a method for preparing same, and to corresponding uses.

Method for inkjet printing

Inkjet printing is carried out to provide monochrome or polychrome inkjet-printed images. An ink-receptive medium is provided with a substrate with an aqueous-based ink-receptive layer disposed thereon. The aqueous-based ink-receptive layer has: (a) one or more water-soluble salts of a multivalent metal cation in an amount of 0.6-49 weight %; (b) one or both of a polyvinyl alcohol and a polyvinyl amine (or a copolymer of a vinyl alcohol and vinyl amine) in a total amount of 0.5-30 weight %; and optionally, (c) a crosslinking agent and (d) silica particles. One or more aqueous pigment-based inks are inkjet printed onto this aqueous-based ink-receptive layer, each ink comprising: a) one or more anionically-stabilized pigment colorants; b) one or more water-miscible humectants that are present in a total amount of 1-20 weight % and each having a carbon atom to oxygen atom ratio of at least 1.0:1.0 and only two hydroxy groups.

Method for manufacturing inkjet printable paper or foil for use as a decor paper or foil

A method is provided for manufacturing a paper or a thermoplastic foil or a vitrimeric foil printable with an inkjet printer for use as a decor paper, respectively a decor foil in a laminate or laminated panel. The method may involve providing a paper layer, respectively a foil. At least one side of the paper layer, respectively of the foil, may be coated with an inkjet receiver coating that includes at least pigment and binder. The inkjet receiver coating may include an ink reactive compound. The papers and foils may be provided with a printed pattern and used as a decor in the panels.

Method for manufacturing paper printable with inkjet for use as a decor paper

A paper for inkjet printing may have one side that is provided with an inkjet receiver coating. The inkjet receiver coating may comprise at least pigment and binder. A portion of free or unbound pigment may be less than 10 weight percent of the total amount of pigment in the inkjet receiver coating and/or the inkjet receiver coating may have a surface that is substantially free of pigment.

Transfer paper

The object is to provide a transfer paper having good image deterioration resistance, color development property and adhesion property. The object is achieved by a transfer paper for use in a transfer textile printing method using sublimation textile ink, which comprises a base paper and one or more coating layer(s) provided on at least one side of the base paper, wherein an outermost coating layer positioned on the outermost side with respect to the base paper contains at least a pigment and a binder, at least one of the pigment is amorphous silica, and the binder contains two or more different binders, and at least one of the binders is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
