To provide a coating solution for forming an ink receiving layer through which it is possible to form an ink receiving layer using the coating solution for forming an ink receiving layer having little effect on a living body, it is possible to prevent a drying time from being too long, and it is possible to prevent a burden on a print target living body from increasing. The coating solution for forming a receiving layer contains water, alcohol including at least one of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol, and a binder agent containing a water-soluble polymer, in which the alcohol content is an amount of 35 weight % or more and 90 weight % or less, and is applied to a living body.

A printable recording media comprising a supporting base substrate and a coating layer that contains a fixative agent and a binder system including a combination of water soluble binder and water dispersible binder. Also, described herein, is a method for making said printable recording media.

A dual label combination is provided. The label combination includes a label substrate, and the label substrate is die cut with at least three separate labels. The label combination also includes a liner substrate attached to a back side of the label substrate. The label substrate including at least two die cuts with one of the die cuts defining a liner label that corresponds to one of the at least three labels of the label substrate. A back side of the liner substrate includes a coating for imaging on the liner substrate with: inkjet, laser, direct thermal, or thermal transfer printing. The liner label and the corresponding label of the label substrate separable from the label combination by a manufactured pull tab substantially centered at a bottom of the liner label of the liner substrate and the corresponding label of the label substrate.

Fabric coating compositions

A fabric coating composition can include water, from 3 wt % to 95 wt % oxazoline reactive compound by dry weight including an oxazoline group, and from 3 wt % to 70 wt % cationic charging agent by dry weight. The fabric coating composition can have a pH from pH 2 to pH 6.

Fabric print media

The present disclosure is drawn to fabric print media and a method of coating a fabric substrate to form a fabric print medium. The fabric print medium can comprise a primer layer applied to the fabric substrate, an ink-fixing layer applied to the primer layer, and an ink-receiving layer applied to the ink-fixing layer. The primer layer can include a first film-forming polymer and a fabric softening agent. The ink-fixing layer can comprise a second film-forming polymer and a cationic compound. The ink-receiving layer can comprise a third film-forming polymer and non-deformable particles. One or more of the primer layer, the ink-fixing layer, and the ink-receiving layer also further comprise a flame inhibitor. In one example, all of these three layers include the flame inhibitor.

Fabric print medium

A fabric print medium includes a fabric base substrate and two treatment compositions that are applied thereon. The first treatment composition includes, at least, film-forming polymeric compounds, and a water-soluble high-valence metal complex. The second treatment composition includes, at least, a polymeric network, poly-alkene polymeric compounds, a water-soluble high-valence metal complex and a flame retardant agent. Also disclosed herein is a method for obtaining the fabric print medium.

A pre-treatment fixing fluid for an offset coated medium is disclosed. The pre-treatment fixing fluid includes calcium-containing cationic crashing agents consisting of calcium propionate and calcium nitrate, wherein the calcium propionate is present in an amount ranging from about 0 wt % to about 10 wt %, and wherein the calcium nitrate is present in an amount ranging from about 15 wt % to 0 wt %, both based on the total wt % of the pre-treatment fixing fluid. The pre-treatment fixing further includes a co-solvent, a surfactant, and a balance of water. The surfactant is selected from the group consisting of a first surfactant having a first hydrophilic lipophilic balance (HLB) value within a hydrophobic range and a combination of the first surfactant and a second surfactant having a second HLB value within a water dispersible range.

RECORDING MEDIUM SUBSTRATE AND RECORDING MEDIUM

A recording medium substrate in an aspect of the present invention is a recording medium substrate having a base paper and a stretched film layer on the base paper, wherein the stretched film layer has a thickness of 70 m or more, and the recording medium substrate has an average surface roughness of 0.3 m or less. A recording medium in another aspect of the present invention includes a recording medium substrate, a first ink receiving layer on the recording medium substrate, and a second ink receiving layer on the first ink receiving layer, wherein the first ink receiving layer is in contact with the second ink receiving layer, the first ink receiving layer contains an alumina hydrate and a hydroxy acid, the second ink receiving layer contains an alumina hydrate and a sulfonic acid.
