Printable recording media
A printable recording media including a supporting base substrate having, on its image side, a pre-coating layer that contains inorganic pigments and polymeric binders, and a top ink-receiving layer that includes inorganic pigments, polymeric binders and non-film forming polymers; and, having a polymer barrier layer on its backside. Also described herein is a method for making the printable recording media, a method for forming printed articles, and the obtained printed articles.
Fabric print media
The present disclosure is drawn to fabric print media and a method of coating a fabric substrate to form a fabric print medium. The fabric print medium can comprise a fabric substrate, a primer layer applied to the fabric substrate, and an ink-receiving layer applied to the primer layer. The primer layer can include a film-forming polymer and a phosphorus- or nitrogen-containing compound. The ink-receiving layer can comprise a phosphorus- or nitrogen-containing compound, a cationic metal complex, and non-deformable particles.
INK JET RECORDING MEDIUM, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, PRINTED MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, ORNAMENTAL GLASS, AND ROLL
An object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording medium which exhibits excellent adhesiveness with respect to an ink and has excellent scratch resistance and in which density unevenness at the time of printing is suppressed, a method for manufacturing the ink jet recording medium, a printed material using the ink jet recording medium, a method for manufacturing the printed material, ornamental glass, and a roll.
An ink jet recording medium of the present invention has a support and an ink receiving layer on at least one surface of the support, in which the ink receiving layer is a cured layer of a composition containing a radical polymerizable compound, a polymerization initiator, and a compound represented by Formula C-1.

SOLVENT RESISTANT PRINTABLE SUBSTRATES AND THEIR METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE
A printable substrate, along with methods of its formation, is generally provided. The printable coating can include a base sheet defining a first surface and a second surface and a printable coating on the first surface of the base sheet. The base sheet can be constructed from a cellulosic nonwoven web and a saturant. The printable coating can include a plurality of inorganic microparticles and a crosslinked material, where the crosslinked material is formed from a crosslinkable polymeric binder and a crosslinking agent. An image can be formed on the printable substrate, such as by printing an ink composition onto the printable substrate (e.g., onto the printable coating).
Films for printing
Printing layers and films for printing are disclosed. Methods for preparing such films also are disclosed.
Printable recording media
A printable recording media containing a base substrate and a coating layer having a total solid content ranging from about 3 to about 65 weight percent by total weight of the coating composition and that includes from about 10 to about 90 weight percent of starch nanoparticles having a particle size ranging from about 40 to about 500 nm and from about 10 to about 90 weight percent of a water soluble divalent or multi-valent metal salt. Also described herein are a method for making the printable recording media and a method for producing printed images using the recording media.
LOW BASIS WEIGHT INKJET PRINTABLE SUBSTRATES WITH LOWER SHOWTHROUGH AND IMPROVED WATERFASTNESS AND PRINT DENSITY
An article in the form of a printable substrate having a showthrough value of about 0.14 or less, and an opacity value of at least about 88% which includes a paper substrate with a first and second surfaces formed of paper fibers having a basis weight of from about 12 to about 32 lbs/1300 ft.sup.2, and a substrate filler in an amount in the range of from 0 to about 30% by weight of the paper substrate; and a surface size layer on at least one of the first and second surfaces, the surface size layer having about 50 lbs or less per ton of the paper substrate of a starch surface sizing agent and a multivalent metal salt drying agent in an amount sufficient to impart to the at least one of the first and second surfaces a black print density value of at least about 0.8 when inkjet printed with pigmented inks and a waterfastness value of at least about 85% when inkjet printed with dye-based inks, the printable substrate having a MD tensile strength of at least about 12 lbs/in. and a CD tensile strength of at least about 6 lbs/in. Also, a method for preparing such a printable substrate.
COATING LIQUID AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A coating liquid includes a polymer particle, an aggregating agent for a coloring material, a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value within the range of 15.5 to 20, and water.
Intermediate transfer medium
In an intermediate transfer medium, a substrate, protective layers having a layered structure of two or more layers, and a receiving layer are layered in this order. One layer in the protective layers having the layered structure contains, as a main component, one material or a mixture of two or more materials selected from the group consisting of polyesters having a high polymerization degree, a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of not less than 12,000 and a Tg of not less than 60 C., polycarbonates and polyester urethanes. Another layer in the protective layers having the layered structure contains one or more materials selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohols, polyvinyl butyrals, polyvinyl acetals and polyvinyl pyrrolidones or includes a cationic resin, and the receiving layer contains a side chain-type aralkyl-modified silicone in an amount of 0.5-5% by weight on a base of the total weight of the receiving layer.
