Silo grain level sensor system

A system and method for remotely managing content levels in one or more defined areas includes a computer system communicatively connected to one or more resident sensor units and controllers linked to devices such as content loading drive mechanisms and/or supply reordering modules. When a sensor reports that a content level is or will be lower or higher than desired, the computer system generates an alert and forwards the alert across a wireless communications network to a user's mobile device. The user may select a user command to send to the computer system, whereupon the computer system may selectively regulate the content levels in accordance with the response action or alternatively override the user command based upon one or more contextual determinations.

A GRAIN STORAGE ARRANGEMENT

A system for mapping one or more characteristics of a body of a harvested crop stored in a storage space includes a controller; a first device assembly providing an input to the controller; and a second device assembly providing an input to the controller. The controller is configured to determine one or more characteristics of each of a plurality of portions of the body of the harvested crop, such as dry matter content, moisture content, level of contamination, and/or one or more nutrient values, prior to the deposition of each of said portions in the storage space based on at least the input from the first device assembly. The controller is configured to determine a location at which each of said portions is deposited in the storage space based on at least the input from the second device assembly. The controller is configured to store the determined one or more characteristics and the determined location of each of said portions in a database.

Grain spreader for storage bin

A grain spreader wherein grain received in the hopper is directed to spreader arms by a spreader cone. The spreader cone has a convergent cone and a divergent cone. The spreader cone has a center opening that allows a first portion of the grain collecting in the convergent cone to pass through and fall through the underside of the divergent cone. The grain spreader further includes support springs that lift the spreader cone upwards into the hopper when the spreader cone is lightly loaded. A center flow choke is configured to throttle the flow of grain through the center opening to partially close the center opening in low grain flow conditions, wherein the center flow choke is mounted to the hopper body such that up and down movement of the spreader cone moves the center opening into or out of engagement with the center flow choke.

Grain storage arrangement

A grain storage arrangement, the arrangement including: a generally box-shaped grain storage receptacle enclosing a grain receiving space; the storage receptacle including a base, a top, two opposite sidewalls, a first end wall, and a second end wall opposite the first end wall; a receptacle support, wherein the receptacle support supports the receptacle such that the base slopes downwardly from the first end wall to the second end wall; a grain inlet provided on or proximate to the first end wall for adding grain to the receptacle; and a grain outlet provided on or proximate to the second end wall for removing grain from the receptacle.

GRAIN MANAGEMENT IN A BULK STORE

A grain management system includes a robot and a computer system located remotely from one another and configured to wirelessly communicate. The robot comprises an auger-based drive system, a memory, and a processor which controls movement of the robot, via the drive system, relative to grain in a bulk store. During a load-in the robot traverses a landing zone portion, where the grain lands during load-in, of a surface of a pile of the grain to disperse broken grain and foreign material away from the landing zone portion. The dispersal is effected in part by rotation of augers of the drive system. The robot additionally traverses a sloped portion of the pile of grain to incite sediment gravity flow by rotation of the augers. The sediment gravity flow reduces a slope of the sloped portion and further disperses the broken grain and foreign material away from the landing zone portion.

GRAIN BIN MANAGEMENT DURING GRAIN STORAGE

A robot comprises an auger-based drive system, a memory, and a processor coupled with the memory and configured to control movement of the robot, via the auger-based drive system, relative to grain in a grain bin. The processor is further configured to direct performance of a maintenance traversal, by the robot, of a surface of a pile of the grain during a storage period of the grain. The maintenance traversal disperses a layer of the grain on and near the surface and thus hinders crust formation on the surface during the storage period. The dispersal is effected by rotation of augers of the auger-based drive system during the maintenance traversal.

Apparatus for Storing Dry Material

A modular, low-profile apparatus for storing dry agricultural products has a horizontal configuration with coaxial aeration tubes and bi-directional distribution and dispensing augers. The apparatus provides access to dry agriculture products for storing, mixing, aerating, loading, unloading and processing.

Grain spreading device

A grain spreading device for evenly distribute grain as it is poured into a storage bin. The grain spreading device generally includes a flow-control ring (e.g., an evenflow ring) adapted to be positioned below a grain bin opening, the flow-control ring comprising an upper opening and a bottom, and a cone movably suspended below the flow-control ring by a plurality of springs to create a variable opening between the cone and the bottom of the flow-control ring, the plurality of springs creating a restoring force, wherein the variable opening increases in size when a weight of grain on the cone moves the cone away from the bottom of the flow-control ring against the restoring force of the plurality of springs.

METHOD FOR ASCERTAINING THE COMPACTION STATE OF SILAGE STORED IN A FLAT SILO
20230389481 · 2023-12-07 ·

A method for ascertaining a compaction state of silage stored in a flat silo, in which a work vehicle used for compacting the silage has inflated tires on at least one vehicle axle, includes in a first step, via an acceleration sensor, one or more of a normal and a tangential acceleration occurring in a tire bead is detected and wirelessly transmitted in the form of sensor data corresponding thereto to a processor unit, in a second step, starting from the transferred sensor data from the processor unit, the deformations of the tire casing occurring in each case during the rolling of the tire in an entry point and an exit point are ascertained and compared to one another, and in a third step, based on the comparison, a compression behavior and in turn therefrom the compaction state of the silage is determined by the processor unit.
