3D POP-UP CARD
The invention concerns a 3D pop-up card having a foldable base card which has an inner side and an outer side, the base card being foldable along a fold and being reversibly transferable from a folded, closed state to an unfolded, open state, wherein a foldable figure is fixed to the inner side of the base card and the foldable figure unfolds autonomously into a three-dimensional structure when the base card is transferred into an open state, wherein the base card is double-layered, the layer which is on the inside in the closed state having at least one slit on each of the two sides of the fold the base card and the foldable figure being connected to one another via L-shaped connecting pieces, and the first leg of an L-shaped connecting piece engaging in a slit and the second leg of an L-shaped connecting piece being attached to the foldable figure.
Customizable Greeting Card System and Method
A customizable greeting card system. The customizable greeting card system includes a greeting card. The greeting card has an outer face displayed oppositely of an inner face. The inner face is designed to include a parallel circuit therein. The parallel circuit includes a power source, as well as a number of electronic devices. Each electronic device has a power receiver that receives power from the power source. The electronic devices are programmed to perform at least one desired function.
Convertible and customizable greeting card
A convertible greeting card that can be converted from a greeting card into an accessory such as a hat. The convertible greeting card can optionally include a message and a decoration. The shape and geometry of the convertible greeting card are typically selected such that brims will extend in a direction generally orthogonal to a first surface of the card when the brim flaps are releasably affixed to one another. Decorations can be disposed on one or more of a first or second surface of the card. A message can also be disposed on a surface of the card.
FLEXIBLE DRIVE SHAFT FOR GREETING CARDS AND THE LIKE
A greeting card having mechanically actuated moving portions is provided. The greeting card may include a panel having one or more folds, one or more flexible drive shafts coupled to the panel and having a flipping or moving portion, and a decorative portion coupled to at least one of the panel and the flipping or moving portion. Each flexible drive shaft may be coupled to the panel such that a portion is positioned on a first side of the fold and a portion is positioned on a second side of the fold. When the greeting card is opened, a moment arm is created in the flexible drive shaft which causes the flipping or moving portion to move from a first position to a second position. The decorative portion may move in response to the flipping or moving portion moving from the first position to the second position.
POP-UP GREETING CARD WITH TAB SUPPORT OF A LASER-CUT, SLICE-FORM POP-UP ELEMENT
An article comprising a pop-up card is provided. The article comprises a single sheet of paper including a single crease and separating the sheet of paper into a left panel and a right panel, wherein the sheet is in a closed position when folded along the crease, and wherein the sheet is in the open position when not folded along the crease, a pop-up slice-form element coupled to said sheet, wherein the slice-form includes a first plurality of slice-form elements perpendicular to a second plurality of slice-form elements when in the open position, wherein the slice-form element comprises a first and last slice-form element each with a distal tab, and wherein in the open position the pop-up slice-form element is displayed as a three-dimensional configuration, and in the closed position said pop-up slice-form element folds together into a flat configuration.
Greeting cards and postcards with concealed feature
Some embodiments provide a greeting card or a postcard with a concealed feature, such as, for example, a practical joke feature. The concealed feature can include concealed hardware that repeatedly plays a sound for several hours, days, or weeks. The concealed feature can include a concealed keeper element or pouch that contains a payload, such as, for example, confetti, glitter, stickers, or toys. The card can include a mode of operation configured to allow a card-giver to inspect and/or write on the interior of the card without activating a concealed feature. The card can be configured to release the contents of the keeper element or pouch when a recipient attempts to open or destroy the card. The card can include one or more features that resist destruction of the card and/or internal components of the card that implement a concealed feature or a practical joke feature.
Greeting card having compressed object therein and method of selectively controlling deformation thereof
A greeting card having a transparent and flexible pouch enclosing a deformable object is disclosed. The transparent and flexible pouch is vacuum sealed with the deformable object inside, such that the deformable object compresses. A transparent insert may be placed inside of the transparent and flexible pouch, in order to minimize disfiguration of the deformable object during the compression process.
POP-UP GIFT CARD WITH REMOVABLE POP-UP DISPLAY STRUCTURE
A pop-up gift card includes a card that is foldable along a fold line between closed and opened positions. The card includes a separable perforated section extending over both sides of the fold line. An erectable pop-up display structure comprising a plurality of intersecting slice-form elements is mounted on the perforated section of the card. When the card is closed, the pop-up display structure is in a flattened state, and when the card is opened, the pop-up display structure is in an erected 3-D state. The pop-up display structure can be removed from the card by separating the perforated section from the rest of the card. A support element can be affixed to the perforated section for maintaining the pop-up display structure in the 3-D state when the pop-up display structure is removed from the card.
POP-UP DISPLAY STRUCTURE
A pop-up card includes an erectable pop-up display structure that can be easily removed from the card to be displayed. The pop-up card is foldable between closed and opened positions. The card includes a slot therein for holding the pop-up display structure. The pop-up display structure comprises a plurality of intersecting slice-form elements mounted on a foldable base. At least a portion of the foldable base is removably inserted in the slot such that when the card is closed, the foldable base is folded and the pop-up display structure is in a flattened state. When the card is opened, the foldable base is unfolded and the pop-up display structure is in an erected 3-D state. The pop-up display structure can be slid out of the slot in the card and displayed when desired.
