A foldable article having a sliceform removably secured to one or more panels of the foldable article. A tab having a retaining portion may extend from at least one of the one or more panels of the foldable article. The tab may pass through an opening in the sliceform and the retaining portion may be wider than the width of the opening. The retaining member may be manipulated to pass through the opening to removably secure the sliceform to, and/or detach the sliceform from, the foldable article.

Some embodiments provide a greeting card or a postcard with a practical joke feature. The practical joke feature can include a sound that is repeatedly played for several hours, days, weeks, etc. The card can include a mode of operation configured to allow a purchaser to experience the sound without arming the practical joke feature. The card can include a pouch that contains one or more surprises for card recipients that attempt to open or destroy the card. The card can include one or more features that resist destruction of the card and/or internal components of the card that implement the practical joke feature.

The disclosed embodiments generally relate to a transaction card with an integrated card stand. The transaction card comprises a substrate having a card thickness, and first and second card surfaces, the second card surface being substantially coextensive with the first card surface. The transaction may further comprise a card stand pivotable relative to the second card surface and having a stand thickness.

A thin film video device is mounted onto a card stock and incorporated into a card, such as a greeting card. The thin film video device comprises a thin film video display coupled to a computer chip and a speaker. The thin film video device is powered by a local power source such as a small battery. This invention relates to an article of manufacture comprising a plurality of sheets including a backing sheet, a front sheet and an intermediate pocket sheet sandwiched between the other two sheets. The pocket sheet comprises a frame with an interior portion cut-out so that when sandwiched between the backing and the front sheets, the plurality of sheets define a cavity. There is further provided a stand comprising an elongate length of material connected at one end to one of the sheets, the other free end terminating in a tab, and having a plurality of fold lines. A separate, removable indicia sheet for reception of a message thereon is provided. The backing sheet comprises a pair of slits, one of which is dimensioned for reception of the indicia sheet to provide access to the cavity, and the other dimensioned to receive the tab of the stand for support of the article of manufacture.

This application is related to a greeting card that is conducive to automated printing, as well as methods and systems for printing on the greeting card. For example, the greeting card can include a three-dimensional (3D) card element that is containable, when the card is being printed, between a first panel of the greeting card and a protective panel of the greeting card. In addition, the greeting card can include a second panel for receiving a printed graphic (e.g., text, letters, numbers, pictures, symbols, etc.).
