10701903 · 2020-07-07 ·

A pet grooming station includes an electrically actuated separable coupler mechanically coupled between a tether point and a lead to a collar or a noose. At least one wirelessly coupled pressure sensitive mat is adapted to sense a presence of a person standing on the at least one pressure sensitive mat. The electrically actuated separable coupler is in a coupled state when the pressure sensitive mat senses the presence of the person standing on the mat. Or, when the person is not standing on the mat, the electrically actuated separable coupler separates following a predetermined or selectable time delay in a range of about 0 to 2 seconds. A pressure sensitive mat disposed on a surface of said grooming table or tub is also described.

Devices and system are provided that can not only stop a pet from pulling its owner, but to train a pet over time to not pull while being walked on a leash. In an exemplary implementation, a cuff can be wrapped around the highest point of either front leg of a pet, using, for example a hook and loop fastener and running a leash through the sleeve or guide on the outside of the cuff, so that an existing leash can be run from the collar, under the inside of the leg and up to the owner's hand.

Reduce pull leash apparatus and methods

In some embodiments, a reduced-pull leash device includes a first extendible leash section and a second leash section. The second leash section is longer than the unextended first leash section. The first leash section's first end is configured to couple to or near the second leash section's first end. The first leash section's second end is configured to couple to a harness at a location on top of a dog. The second leash section's second end is configured to couple to a harness at a front location of the dog. The lengths of the first and second leash sections are configured so the first leash section extends when a dog pulls on the leash until the second leash section becomes taut. Once the second leash section becomes taut, a lateral force is generated on the dog to pull the dog laterally. Numerous other embodiments are provided.
