Micro-optic security device with zones of color
A micro-optic security device with zonal color transitions includes a planar array of focusing elements, an image icon layer including a plurality of retaining structures, the plurality of retaining structures defining isolated volumes at a first depth within the image icon layer, a first zone of image icons, the first zone of image icons having a first predefined subset of the plurality of retaining structures, wherein the isolated volumes of retaining structures of the first predefined subset of the plurality of retaining structures contain cured pigmented material of a first color, and a second zone of image icons, the second zone of image icons including a second predefined subset of the plurality of retaining structures, wherein the isolated volumes of retaining structures of the second predefined subset of the plurality of retaining structures contain cured pigmented material of a second color, wherein the second color contrasts with the first color.
PRINTING SYSTEM OF SECURITY MATERIALS AND ANTI-FORGERY DOCUMENTS WITH RAISED PRINTING AND PROCESS THEREOF
A system for printing documents and anti-forgery security papers especially banknotes is provided. The system includes a mechanical feeding mechanism, a hologram pattern print section, an invisible, fluorescence color and main colors pattern printing section using at least three units of ink jet, a varnish coating section, a rotating cylindrical silkscreen printing section for optical variable ink (OVI), a raised printing section, a delivery section, a paper and handle receiving section and a central computer control section. The system has been introduced to create various security features in securities wherein all of the processes including the raised printing are introduced in an all-in-on device.
Mechanized Process For Improved Removal Of Elements Such As Labels From An Adhesive Film During Manufacture
A manufacturing process that allows for the transfer of labels formed from a film to end-use products. The film is covered by a masking layer that is typically die cut to create the labels from the continuous sheet of film. Here, an additional covering layer (or layers) of a relatively stiff material is disposed over the masking layer. The addition of the covering layer results in the processed film being less susceptible to damage (related to unwanted bending) during further processing and/or shipment. Advantageously, the covering layer improves the ability to remove individual labels from the film, particularly with respect to attempting to peel off the thin masking layer.

Security display devices, their production and use
Security documents often incorporate security devices to prevent or hinder counterfeiters. Disclosed herein are security devices that include a fluid or fluids within the devices. Such devices, and security documents that include them, afford new techniques to check whether a security document is a legitimate or counterfeit copy.

OPTICAL DEVICE WITH HOLOGRAPHIC LAYER
An optical device and to a corresponding manufacturing process, the device including a textured layer including, on its surface, first macro-textures; and a carrier including, on its surface, a holographic layer intermediate between the textured layer and the carrier. The holographic layer includes a diffraction grating forming, via a holographic effect, an arrangement of pixels in a basis of at least two distinct colours. The textured layer is assembled by lamination with the carrier so that the holographic layer, placed between the textured layer and the carrier, is deformed by the first macro-textures so as to include second macro-textures conformal with the first macro-textures, the visual appearance of the arrangement of pixels being personalized via the second macro-textures.
SECURITY DEVICE
A security device includes a plurality of diffractive surface elements arranged on a carrier element. A surface covered by the diffractive surface elements on the carrier element can occupy at least a partial region of the carrier element. Each individual diffractive surface element can have a three-dimensional surface structure. A portion of the plurality of the diffractive surface elements can form a first surface element group including the portion of the plurality of diffractive surface elements, and an orientation of the diffractive surface elements in the first surface element group can be matched to each other wherein together they make a single first image point of an associated first symbol to be represented visible to an observer under particular observation conditions.
Display having light-scattering property
A display includes light-scattering regions. Each of the light-scattering regions is provided with linear protrusions and/or recesses having the same longitudinal direction. The light-scattering regions are different from each other in the longitudinal direction.
