CARD WITH MARBLED VISUAL EFFECT AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The card comprises a first translucent or transparent substrate layer, preferably in PVC, and a second substrate layer, and a cracked layer of ink between the two substrate layers so as to allow the second substrate layer to show through the cracks of the layer of ink. The cracked layer of printing ink comprises mirror-effect ink, that reflects light through the first translucent or transparent substrate layer. The cracking of the layer of ink is achieved when the card is manufactured by laminating it.

Bamboo laminate transaction card
Transaction and identification cards formed from raw bamboo assemblies including one or more raw bamboo layers optionally adhered to a paper backer. In one embodiment, a single raw bamboo assembly is adhered to a base or core substrate. Optionally, a second bamboo assembly is coupled to the first bamboo assembly, with or without a core layer sandwiched in between the bamboo assemblies, such that the card's top face includes a first bamboo layer and the card's bottom face includes a second bamboo layer. One or more image or graphic layers are then either printed directly onto the raw bamboo layer or laminated thereto. Optional protective substrates, films, or coatings are applied to or over the bamboo assembly to protect by sandwiching the one or more ink or printed layers between the protective layer and the raw bamboo layers.

OPTICAL DEVICE WITH HOLOGRAPHIC LAYER
An optical device and to a corresponding manufacturing process, the device including a textured layer including, on its surface, first macro-textures; and a carrier including, on its surface, a holographic layer intermediate between the textured layer and the carrier. The holographic layer includes a diffraction grating forming, via a holographic effect, an arrangement of pixels in a basis of at least two distinct colours. The textured layer is assembled by lamination with the carrier so that the holographic layer, placed between the textured layer and the carrier, is deformed by the first macro-textures so as to include second macro-textures conformal with the first macro-textures, the visual appearance of the arrangement of pixels being personalized via the second macro-textures.
SECURITY DOCUMENT HAVING ENHANCED FOIL DURABILITY
A security document, along with its methods of formation, is provided. The security document may include a base sheet, a colored coating on the base sheet, a foil laminate on at least a portion of the colored coating, and an outer lacquer coating over the colored coating such that the foil laminate is embedded between the colored coating and the outer lacquer coating. The outer lacquer coating may include a polymeric resin, and may also include a crosslinking agent and a wetting agent.
MULTILAYER PLASTIC CARD
The present invention relates to a multilayer plastic card including at least one polyester resin layer including a polyester resin including a residue of a diol component including 0.1 mol % to 85 mol % of isosorbide and a residue of a dicarboxylic acid component.
A PRE-LAMINATE FOR A DATAPAGE OF A SECURITY DOCUMENT AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A pre-laminate usable for forming a datapage of a security document, includes layers of different optical appearance, such as a clear window-type portion, which may be obtained on the basis of a substantially even or flat surface. Since the desired optical appearances of different areas of the pre-laminate are established in an early manufacturing stage, any process steps to be applied in a later manufacturing stage upon forming, for instance, an optical window, in a datapage, may be omitted, thereby contributing to reduced overall manufacturing costs and enhanced tamper resistance of the resulting datapage.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FILM INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT, FILM INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PRODUCT
A The invention relates to a method for producing a film intermediate product (1), a film intermediate product (1), as well as a product produced hereby. The film intermediate product (1) is here formed by means of depositing one or more film elements (311 to 314), which is or are formed in each case of a cutout of one or more donor films (301 to 304).
