The present invention relates to a layered composite comprising at least one transparent layer a) containing a thermoplastic, this transparent layer having a light transmission in the range of from ≥85% to ≤98% determined according to ISO 13468-2:2006-07, and an opaque layer b) containing at least one thermoplastic, characterised in that the opaque layer b) has a light transmission in the range of from ≥0.1% to ≤25% determined according to ISO 13468-2:2006-07, a layer thickness in the range of from ≥20 μm to ≤70 μm, preferably from ≥20 μm to ≤60 μm, particularly preferably from ≥25 μm to ≤55 μm, and at least one opening.
Electronic card having an electronic interface
This disclosure is directed to an electronic identification card or electronic card having various features. The electronic card may include an integrated circuit and a contact plate for electrically interfacing with the integrated circuit. The contact plate may include an array of terminal electrodes that are offset with respect to the edges of the contact plate. The electronic card may be coated with a coating layer that extends at least partially over a ferromagnetic element or film. The electronic card may also include a metal substrate having exposed chamfer portions that may provide a visual contrast to the coating layer and also improve the handling and use of the electronic card.
MULTIPLE COLOR IMAGE
A data carrier with a cover layer, a base layer, and an information layer arrangement. The information layer arrangement includes at least a first information layer and a second information layer arranged after the first information layer along an extension direction. The first information layer and the second information layer have different optical properties, and the information layer arrangement has an unmodified region and at least one modified region, the at least one modified region having at least one recess extending at least partially into the first information layer along the extension direction. The at least one modified region is configured to reflect incident electromagnetic waves whereby a first reflection spectrum is generated, the unmodified region is configured to reflect said incident electromagnetic waves whereby a second reflection spectrum is generated, the first reflection spectrum being different from the second reflection spectrum.
Security document including a laserizable layer and a pattern for illuminating in order to color a grayscale image, and corresponding fabrication and reading methods
A security document may include a laserizable first layer including a grayscale image formed by laserizing; a color pattern that is in alignment with the grayscale image; and a second layer arranged between the first layer and the pattern, such that the first layer is above the second layer, and the pattern is below the second layer. The second layer may be more opaque than the first layer, such that when observing the security document from the top, the grayscale image appears to be colored by the color pattern only when the bottom of the security document is being illuminated.

An inlay for a card includes a first transparent overlay sheet, an antenna carrier sheet, a thickness compensation sheet, a second transparent overlay sheet. The inlay also includes a microcontroller, a module lead frame, a finger sensor lead frame, an antenna, and electrical wires. The module lead frame is adapted for being milled and includes a plurality of first contact pads for contacting a contact module. The finger sensor lead frame is adapted for being milled and includes a plurality of second contact pads for contacting a fingerprint sensor. The electrical wires are connected to the microcontroller, to the first contact pads, to the second contact pads, and to the antenna.
Multilayered structures and uses thereof in security markings
A security marking has a physically unclonable function (PUF) wherein the PUF includes a disordered multilayer photonic crystal structure having an electromagnetic transmission and/or reflection spectrum and/or spectra upon receipt of electromagnetic radiation within a photonic bandgap region of the structure that is unique to the structure.
LAMINATE, AND CARD BODY AND BOOKLET BODY MANUFACTURED USING SAME
To provide a laminate which makes it possible to prevent the time deterioration of the thermal transfer image effectively and to enhance the light resistance, and which is used to produce a card body for an ID card and the like and a booklet body such as a data page of a passport. A laminate according to the present invention is characterized by including a front substrate, a laser coloring substrate, a thermal transfer image layer, a white layer, and a back substrate, wherein the laser coloring substrate contains a light resistance improving material.
